From SWI, "Star News", pg. 9:

"[Geroge Lucas] also confirmed that there would not be original theatrical versions of Episodes IV, V, or VI on future DVDs. 'The Special Editions are the movie,' he explained."

Now we'll have to live with Greedo shooting first every time we watch the OT DVD; how depressing...

There should be an option instead to either watch the Original or Special Edition on the DVD. Darn you, George Lucas!
