Has anyone seen this site before?

Although the person who pointed me to these guys stressed that they had no bias, they sure as hell do. This is some of the oddest bullshit I have seen, and they pay lip service to empirical evidence, while using the bible as a historical document.

Thoughts?

Omniology: the study of rhetorical techniques intended to confuse people about the distinction between science and religion, and muddle the waters enough to make them think Divine Creation is a legitimate theory.

Bwahahaha! They even show a photograph of the forgery the hardcore creationists won't touch! Carl Baugh, the guy that makes Kent Hovind look legitimate, doesn't even own up to that one!(it's the one towards the bottom left-hand corner)

When I first heard the word "omnologist", I just thought it meant a person who claimed to know everything.

I think that's what they're trying to convince you of. It's all part of the Great Deep Bullshit.

Someone who studies the Bible. It's a very loose term for a religion that essentially encompasses everyone with an interest in Judeo-Christian creed, code and cult.

Essentially, everyone on this board who quotes the bible regularly is, in a sense, a biblicist.

They do seem to be human foot prints. I went up to Glenrose park a few times to see those and other dig sites. Last time I went the researchers had the one in the pictures closed off because they were taking samples or somesuch like that.

Glenrose is a worth while detour if your in the metroplex area. They have a museum next to the Paluxy river with fossils and footprints lifted out of the creek bed. I think a last count they had four different kinds of dinosaur. You have to pay to get into the park but I think the museum is free.

In practice, yes. That is, if they read the bible. There are many protestants and catholics that don't read the bible, and therefore wouldn't really be considered biblicists. But in a perfect world, yes, they would all technically be considered a type of biblicist.

Gotta love that C14 dates of 12kya are used ad proof that the Earth is 6,000 years old (a VERY common creationist argument)

if this means what i interpret it to mean, namely that it is someone who worships the god's of olympus found in the Greek and Roman Pantheon, then im so there. How could you not believe in Augustus, or Julius Caesar, or Tiberius Claudius Nero Drusus Germanicus (4th emperor of rome, normally just known as Claudius by the masses)?

There's a long way from claiming to know something, and actually knowing it.
