Ewoks vs Gunguns

Both are some of the most disliked species in star wars. One resebles teddy bears the other some form of mutant amphibean. So who wins a fight between them assuming the battle takes place on the ewok homeworld endor.

I've said it before and I'm sure this won't be the last time I say it Jar Jar Binks makes the Ewoks look like fucking Shaft.
BUT
The rest of the Gunguns aren't as retarded as Jar Jar.

Given the primative nature of the Ewoks and the fact that they would have the home advantage I'd say the Ewoks would win.

Reasons:

1.The Gunguns sheilds would be in effect usless. The Ewoks don't use blasters, they use rocks and arrows and spears so they would go through the sheilds, just as the droids do in TPM. Thats even if they can get the sheilds up, the number of tress and no clearings could hinder this.

2.The Gunguns wouldn't be able to have their huge energy balls sling shot, there wouldn't be enough space in amongst the trees and so they would be relying on the smaller energy spheres (name?) and the Ewoks could use the trees as cover.

3.The Gunguns are a water dwelling species. The Ewoks live on Endor, they know all about the place, the home advantage is a huge one.

Although I tend to prefer the Ewoks to the Gungans (in a "lesser of two evils" kind of way), I think that the Gungans' larger size and much higher level of technology would allow them to defeat the Ewoks.

We don't know if the shields are similar in design. Certainly there are some shields that physical objects cannot penetrate.
