Of course, most of the projectiles were decoys or ECM warheads. We assumed, as any commanders would, that you had PD of your own set up.

The Asgard dreadnoughts rocked as the Floater missles hit the wedges. The warp drives of the missles exploding from the incredible gravitational sheer vaporising the missles instantly. Power surged through the drive rooms of the ships. A few systems cut out automatically but most remained up, wedges were built to withstand far more.

"What the hell was that?" The admiral bellowed

"Some form of FTL missles. They didn't do much damage. A few automatic shut downs."

"Maintain fleet coherence. We move for the Floater clusters."

Working through the ITA computers the latest stock quotes were being published, although the war was in doubt the prices were rising in technical and military supply firms. The Fenari Outside-pack-smells minister was grinning. Even though he was a "human" he had predicted things correctly, the ICDEX had been a great opportunity to purchas enough of the other packs wares on public display to be able to manufacture very simular goods. Through a series of front companys, originally designed to keep allied packs supplied, in the event of protracted struggle.

Operation "Yankee" was in full swing, with the sector at war, The Fenari Manufacturing/Merchant clans would soon have completly crippled the Militerists faction, through sabotage. The Militerists were no arming themselves with Kokkand style weapons, not manufactured in Kokkand, but cheaper almost identical goods manufactured around Fenris. In deed if the losses for all sides continued at this pace the Fenari small component market would soon be supplying all sides.

Now to control the market and gain some degree of standardization.

The last hostile battlestation knocked out, the Kokand force moved to join the Asgard force.

The Asgard Fleet's gravetic defenses had saved them from the majority of harm, though most of the fighter screen they had deployed had been demolished by the blasts.

"This is Admiral DeFranco to all Fighter squadrons of Hector, Agammenon, and Odysseus clusters. The Asgard fleet is closing on Zarathrustra herself. Your orders are simple: You are to destroy the Asgard fleet, and protect your home!"

The fighers burned forwards, in a cloud of decoy drones and ECM pods thousands of kilometers wide. Behind them, Zarathrustra's military clusters trained their guns on the advancing Asgard fleet. A barrage of conventional missiles, hundreds strong, followed the fighter strike's heels.

Lancers swarmed around Zarathrustra, guns tracking for incoming enemy missiles or fighters. Four of the defending Strike Cruisers had been disabled, as had one of the Dreadnoughts, but the remaining ships formed up between the Cluster and the advancing Asgard fleet.

Kokand missiles where in Ethiopia, Yemen and Nigeria, well away from the NAU construction crews.

Then it is unlikely any NAU citizens were hurt, as the NRE barrage was targetting the sources of your missile strike.

We attacked all military targets with overwhelming firepower.

The railheads for the projects terminated at major Kokland installations and the gross numbers of nuclear munitions expended were quite effective at killing many, many American citizens.

It was your own choice to station civilians near major military installations. We will, however, pay reparations for civilians killed in accidental strikes on the railways.

However, we must ask why the NAU has not been so hasty to condemn the slaughter of millions of civilians by a preemptive nuclear strike on the part of the Kokand Empire.

Admiral DeFranco's eyes fell again on the advancing force of Kokand warships. Their vessels had not been protected by the gravetic sidewalls of the Asgard ships. They were the most vulnerable.

"Second Volley: Fire!"

Another barrage of FTL missiles burst into the already weakened Kokand fleet. The massive blasts tore shields asunder, and destroyed ships already weakened by the first barrage. Five more Black Forests succumbed, each one rent to peices by massive nuclear explosions. Twenty cruisers met their untimely demise, and the four remaining frigates of the fleet had taken incredible damage.

MORON, I REPEAT, I have an interdiction system that works against all FTL drives. This has been in my OOB since before the STGOD started. Not one of your missiles can jump into my forces.

No technology in advance of DS9. Strapping a shuttle warp drive to a nuclear warhead is well within the range of possibility with ST:DS9 era technology.

A complete interdiction field, on the other hand, is obiviouslt outside of the rules.

If you had such devices, which are so obviously overpowered, then they are a breach of the very rules of this STGOD. I ask that you describe the ST era technology you use to acheive this effect, considering the massive variety of FTL devices we use in this STGOD.

Guess what? Spyder ALSO has an interdiction system that works against everything. If they should be allowed was argued during the run up to the STGOD and in the end I gave in and declared my own system as. I will now ignore your bullshit. This was discussed in public and everyone had a chance to debate it, you didn't take it.

The KSN had made the fatal mistake of jumoing into the fight weapons range of the energy batteries of the Asgard fleet. Soon space was torn by thousands of invisible bolts of electromagnetic energy. Lasers and grasers opened up on targets with point blank accuracy.

The Kokand fleet once more mowed down a wave of expensive FTL missiles at long range, designed to jump and then explode they had little in the way of STL drive systems. The fleet continued along at sublight, content to allow the Floaters to waste their weapons.

The Asgard counterattack and point-defense only had time for a limited strike before it was thoroughly shredded by the Roman pulse-bombs.

As soon as the last FTL missile died the Kokand force dropped its interdictors and jumped to hyperspace, reverting to the flank of the shattered KSE force. Its interdictors snapped back up as the ships fired over 200,000 missiles into what remained of it. Thousands of particle beam cannon bolts followed. Little was left after the impacts. Trapped between two sets of guns it was quickly wiped out.
