- tell me please, Stormbringer, how many? I've nuked the area around your ships pretty well, so you probably have few decoy drones left.

The floaters might have to worry about hitting targets on the ground, but the Monacorans didn't have to worry about hiting targets in Space. Hundreds of Anti-Ship cannons blazed up from the defensive positions in Monacora proper and Africa. The shots that hit destroyed the ships, but there were few ships that came down far enough to take, or give, fire but those that did were utterly obliberated.

Many of the Skaven vessels had been shot down, but at least three made it to the ground unscathed. Floater infantry teams moved in around the grounded vessels, Fletchers at the ready. VTOL fire support aircraft, armed with aerosol napalm bombs and superfletchers, as well as antitank rockets, moved in support.

The Minmatar will remain neutral in this conflict. Our interest is in solely maintaining the ideals of free trade. In order to preserve the interests of the ITA the Minmatar are establishing a multitude of neutral shipping lanes between all 16 members of the ITA. The shipping authority will be able to purchase and sell goods on behalf of intended recipients and vendors. We will also open the door for individual privateers, freelancers and merchants to use our lanes to trade commodities between the individual starbases and corporations of the various nations.

Fellow ITA members, trust in the Minmatar for we will not allow your economies to fall even in times of war.

Recognizing that their position was distinctly suboptimal, the crews of the ships set their missiles to blow inside their magazines before escaping to the orbiting carriers through their warp gates.

On the other side of the world, a group of carriers broke orbit. They were finished here.

The Minmatar are also funding the establishment of more ITASF bases to protect the additional trade lanes.

We appreciate the offer, but in order to maintain our neutrality the only assistance we can accept is other nations generally not shooting at the transports. They are broadcasting the standard Minmatar IFF.

The dozen surviving Floater warships over Earth turned and made for Zarathrustra. The Cluster must be saved.

-Stormbringer, how many ships do you having heading to Zarathrustra? I have, deployed at Zarathrustra, three full Military Clusters (which mount a dozen heavy mass driver turrets each, some FTL missile launchers, heavy PD, and a few dozen X-ray lasers and AM beams, though the AM beams will be worthless against your gravetic shields. I also have 2 Dreadnoughts, 4 Attack Carriers, 25 Strike Cruisers, and about 3,000 lancers left. My 20,000 or so surviving fighters will be returning for a second run on your capital ships shortly, but are unlikely to play a major part in teh defence of Zarathrutra besides that.

The broadcast went out any thing with a radio reciever. A grim message, devoid of any joy.

"Floaters and their honorable allies. We are now in a position to obliterate the Zarathrustra Cluster. Stand down and leave the system and we will spare it. If you do not we will open fire and destroy it. The choice is up to you. Do not delay."

The surviving Asgard ships readied themselves. The Floater Cluster was locked in. Every last weapons trained on it. Should they open fire nothing would save it. It was up to the Floaters.

On the Bridge of the Pride Of Covelan Admiral connor was distressed to say the least

"reporting massive casualties among the smaller ships in the fleet, the larger ones PDL's are taking care of missiles"

"Move us back twards Zarathustra Cluster and form defensive positions.... And keep firing"

The KSN fleet began to withdraw, still firing at the asgarg and Kokand fleets.

The KSN fleet moved between the Asgard and the Floater cluster and fired barrage after barrage at the Asgard fleet.

A wing of gunboats, mounting heavy missles leapt into the sky. The hurtled towards the front in Africa. Fighters soon joined them.

Keep the channel open and sensors active, if the Asgard's targeting systems even blink twards us or the floaters tell the fleet to re-activate shields and PDL's and die fighting"

The Asgard ship had effectively capped the T of the Krytos fleet. Their massive broadsides opened up. They targeted the Krytos fleet exclusively, the massive beams striking the sheilding. They wouldn't last long."

The KSN's Task force Alpha reverted to realspace just outside mars orbit.
Admiral jarraed turned to his sensor officer. "what is the current situation?"

"Most of task force omega's vessels have sustained at least moderate damage, several have been destroyed they seem to be in a state of stand down sir"

"Why?"

"I'm not sure but the Asgard are preparing to stand down as well"
