We with just in game, Star Craft wins. TA units are damaged by burning trees while Star craft units can stand on cooling magma for hours without damage. Plus Star Craft as know space units.

With just ingame SC looses because their space ships can be downed by weapon so weak they have a hard time killing harmless wild creatures. SC looses because their nukes are so pitifully weak that they can't even harm soldiers inside of an open bunker.Sea Skimmer wrote:We with just in game, Star Craft wins. TA trees are much different then your standard tree, and are also quite large. TA trees cause damage to an apreciable level similar to that of Plasma Flamethrowers. And by definition, Plasma Flamethrowers are significantly more powerful then just normal fire.

And Starcraft units are unable to damage dirt or disturb water even with a nuclear strike. TA wins :pSea Skimmer wrote:We with just in game, Star Craft wins. TA units cant harm dirt either, TA nukes also don’t disturb water.SylasGaunt wrote:And Starcraft units are unable to damage dirt or disturb water even with a nuclear strike. Not quite correct. TA units can destroy rocks and trees in the very least, SC does neither. TA weapons cause splash in water, and even the nukes show Shockwaves (both on ground and water, that hides any splash effect)Sea Skimmer wrote:TA units cant harm dirt either, TA nukes also don’t disturb water.SylasGaunt wrote:And Starcraft units are unable to damage dirt or disturb water even with a nuclear strike. I don't think anyones mentioned scaling yet. The commander is a 60 foot tall war machine and the mighty Krogoth stands in at aroun 300 feet tall. The railgun on a Krogoth is large enough to encompase a siege tank. It's blue laser of death can fire at least 30 km and it fires missles as large as a marine twice per second. It can survive literally hundreds of shots from a gaurdian, which fires 3 meter diamater globes of 1000000 degree kelvin plasma. Anyone wanna debate that Starcraft can win now.

about special forces: i believe units such as Krogoth, the Commander, Shooter, Parasite (i can't remember the ARM equiv), and pretty much all the lvl. +2 Kbots would count as special forces cause' they tend to be, well, special!
It is not well for one to trifle in the affairs of the ancient Chinese generals, for they have a tendency to send armies of tens of thousands of warriors after those who challenge them.

Canon not game?Dark Hellion wrote:Using in game states Krogoths have 2 million hp and deal around 75,000 damage a shot.
Use canon not games, games screw with physics in order to get better game play
These ARE games. The game IS the canon.
And TA wins, because no Starcraft force could build up fast enugh to see off a Flash Rush, let alone anything else.
They may have the space capability, but they won;t get long enough to build up and deploy it.

In game effects are only for playablity, apply many to real life and you get really fucked up stuff, so you convert the games to a real life equivelent such as 1 km long battlecruisers not 30 m (going by game scaling). You use this knowledge to put the two against eachother, any other way is like saying this shoe is 31cm and this shoe is 15 us. the 31 cm looks bigger by numbers but size 15 us is 2 sizes larger.

Even the heaviest Plasma cannons in TA can score hits on aircraft, if yer lucky. I was fighting the AIs one time and I had a battery of like 5 Berthas, and I targeted them on a bunch of construction aircraft flying around near the end of the Berthas' range, and fired, and like 2 of the planes were actually wasted in the crossfire. The planes were hovering cause they were reclaiming some wreckage or something, though.
And in the field of fixed ground weapons, the huge Gatling plasma cannon is the king, especially when it's fed from like 13 fusion plants so it can't suck down yer energy reserves enough to lower it's maximum firing rate.
