It is lower budget, but comes out better in the endSPOOFE wrote:Yes, take THAT, Disney! See the inferior animation of Anime (hey, that Flash movie was higher-quality animation than you see in 90% of Anime cartoons) and COWER in fear!
Too many american animation studios waste cells on people bouncing like retards during speech. See any disney movie for good examples of this
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Anime was fisrt made in 1917, and the general style was based chiefly on Tezuka's work, which if anything, was influenced by the studio that made such cartoons as Betty Boop; Disney may have minor later influences, but it simply does not factor into Anime's creation. All Disney did was copy Kimba The White Lion and prove George Orwell right that films can be made solely by factory machines.Durran Korr wrote:Bah, too bad there would be no anime if not for Disney.
Funny as hell, but there already was a WW2 propaganda cartoon that featured Mickey Mouse attacking small childred, iirc.
Oh, and to SPOOFE: Stop watching DBZ over and over. You don't see me watching The Core, Evolution, or StarGate SG-1 and claiming that all American aci-fi suck ass.

Stargate SG-1 is currently the best Sci-Fi on television and one of my favorite shows. Infidel.

Don't mind Utsanomiko's comment about SG-1. He personally just doesn't like it. I've grown to enjoy it however.
And considering that with the processes that anime uses for production you can get results that are equal to American animation (the limited movement looks more realistic to me personally than characters moving around all over), done in at least half the time with about 1/3 the cost.
Besides, a lot of anime looks better than Dragon Ball/DBZ...

I believe in a sign of Zeta.

"And besides, who cares if a monster destroys Australia?"
Animation quality has never been much of a concern for me with anime. It's nice but the content takes precedence.
