Home Alone For Two and a Half Weeks.

Post by Spanky The Dolphin »

Some of you already might remember me mentioning this on Friday, but after a few days of getting unpacked and settling in, I've decided to dedicate an entirely new thread about it, since I also now know a bit more about all of it.

Since 2:30 Central Time, Utsanomiko and I have had the house to ourselves, and will so for the next two and a half weeks while our parents are in the UK. First to attend my sister and her fiance's wedding in London, then as an actual vacation around England and Scotland.

This will be an intersting experiance to say the least, since Utsanomiko and I haven't been home alone with our parents away for any time as long as this, let alone with them being in another country. I can honestly say that I will miss them, and it will be a little hard to get used to at first.

Anyway, We've got pretty much everything covered as far as safety and food goes. I'll be doing virtually all of the cooking, since I'm sort of the only one that knows how and Utsanomiko's too damn lazy and can make me do it anyway. No parties or anything because pretty much the only person we know is DPDarkPrimus, and we're all really far too dull to properly organise a party.

In other news, I've pretty much gotten unpacked and set up at home, so eventually I might post pictures of some of the bitchin' stuff I've gotten over the school year that I've never revealed to all of you. This also means I'll finally get some extra time to do veiwing and writting for my Eva fanfic.

Anyway, that's all for now, kids. I'll be sure to add some interesting updates when they occur.

You don't work? My parents would be very unhappy with me if I didn't work during the summer.

I know it was bad; it was just the first thing I thought of when I saw the title.

No, neither of us have ever had a paying job. Our parents don't really care for us to work during the summer, either. That's just how it is and we're fine with it.

And having a job would be very difficult for me, considering that I can't drive and don't have a license. :P

Zaia: Ouch, guess I should have expected someone to come up with that one. ;)

PS: By the way, have there been any Eva threads since my short absence? Does any moron need a pounding?

Zaia: And really? 4800...cool, I just never notice...I just post. :)

How do you pay for stuff? Do your parents just rule that much?

And to add my two bits... Why aren't you going to your sister's wedding?

Man, I remember last summer my parents were gone for a full MONTH. So it was just me and my much older brother in charge of the house. That was a lot of fun, didn't have any parties, sicne my house is just not built for parties not to mention that it's full of stuff.

The only thing that sucked was that it was like...90 degrees with a humidity of like, 80% that WHOLE DAMN MONTH!

I know I could watch "Willow" for two and a half weeks, but I'm obsessed with that movie so. *shrug* Though I'd do better with a mixture of that, Star Wars and "The Princess Bride"

Utsanomiko wants to know if that's a reference to The Shawshank Redemption... :?

Sisters?! Ha! That's the funniest think I thing I've heard all day.

Anyway, Durran: Yeah, our parent's are kind of that cool. We do chores and I have an allowance when at school.

Tevar: It's not that we didn't want to go to the wedding, but because we didn't want to go to it in London. It's because all the stuff like hotel bills, plane trips, and everything would be expensive and too much of a hassle. Plus I hate to travel, and Utsanomiko resents London.

There's also the fact that our parents are going to treat this more like a second honeymoon, since for their first one they went to Wisconsin and the most notable thing on that trip was seeing the House on the Rock. :P

Somehow, I figured you lived on your own (or with a roommate) as a young man. How old are you -- still in high school?

Oh God, Spankster is home for two and a half weeks by himself? I can just imagine this: Sitting in front of the DVD and computer porn with a bunch of 2 liters of Mountain Dew. His mom is going to come home and open the door to a tidal wave of semen...

Ah, being home alone for two weeks. Sitting on your ass playing video games as the dirty plates are piled up, the garbage isn't taken out, eating only pizza and macaroni and cheese, staying up late, sleeping in... All that for two whole weeks...

The above may not happen, but in my cases of being home alone, that's usually what happens.

Two bits, coming from a woman, can convey an entirely other meaning from what the context would employ.

Back on topic, to organize no party in the 2.5 weeks alone, the two of you really need to develop a social life that can get a big party going.

Otherwise, get a lot of beer, advertise a party, and hope the girls roll in.
