To answer jegs2's question: I'm 21 and Utsanomiko's 19. I just finished my second year at U of I, where I lived in the dorms.

To those that mentioned it: No, no parties. We're not party people, and this house isn't the best choice to have one in, due to antiques and expensive fixtures (not to mention the $200,000 addition going on).

I'm pretty much all alone in my uncle's basement~ I only see him/his family once every two days, and that's usually when they see me leaving for college

I can understand not having a car, but not a driver's license, and especially if you're home alone with your brother for over two weeks. What if he needs to go to the hospital for some reason? Besides, have a DL is useful both for driving and as an ID, especially in college. Last year I ended up driving a bunch of friends home from a party after they had too much to drink. I volunteered to be the designated driver for the night.
