Inspector Gadget vs C3PO with a crossbow (the medieval weapon, mind you)

Gadget and Threepio would walk around aimlessly. Without Penny Gadget's helpless, and Threepio lacks both the strength and motor skills to use a crossbow, even at very close range.

Err....didn't C-3PO's body use a blaster in AotC with the battle droid head on it? I believe C-3PO could use the crossbow effectively, but it would be a violation of his programming. So, he just simply wouldn't do it, unless the programming was altered.
