I'm with you, Innerbrat. I personally loved Final Fantasy: Spirits. A couple people watching the movie in theater were having trouble believing that was all CGI

IMHO Final Fantasy: Spirit Within haves some very bad dialog (blames the scriptwriter), poor voice acting (blames the VA director), poor plot which is made worse by being released after the movie Evolution did (nearly similar plots).

Also If I wanted to watch a movie real-live like people, I'll watch a movie with real live actors not CGI posing as them, especially if the people are ugly.

My favourites are the intro from Imperium Galactica 2 with the huge space battle and the intro of Battlefield 1942.

Edit: The movies from X-wing Alliance were great also!
Where talking about theatrical movies based of video games. In the in game movies
Thanks Sea Skimmer for pointing that out!

In that case I have to vote for Resident Evil as well.

I liked it at first. I thought it was visually pretty cool. But as the movie went on and they brought the who "Gaia mysticism" into it, it started to blow hard for me. Got too New-Agey for my tatse.

Which makes it cooler.

He did a great rendition of Flight of the Bumblebee. As a guitar player, that was damned impressive.

They're similar in having a large rock crashing on Earth, and the things on or in the rock start to invade or have already taken over.

Of the available choices, Mortal Kombat. Although I must also pitch a vote to Super Mario Brothers.
