Sorry.Zoink wrote:"bi" means two, so biweekly means every two-weeks. Semi monthly means half-monthly, and would be the same thing. I get my pay biweekly.

Ive been paid all 3 ways before. My current contract gets paid every other Friday. Since technically Im a contractor and they asked me to come back for a short time, Im going to submit an invoice every Friday.
My previous two jobs were bi-monthly. Got paid on the 15th and last day of the month. Id really prefer bi-weekly, but once you make a certain amount it really does not matter if you are half way decent with budgets.
Once upon a time I got paid every Friday. That was kinda cool.

That was what I did too. Once a month and via direct deposit. Makes you learn some discipline there.jegs2 wrote:...which is why I changed my paycheck to monthly. Yes, you can still get paid bi-weekly, but it's all direct deposit now -- no more acutal paychecks...EmperorMing wrote:I get paid weekly.
In the Military, you can get paid monthly or bi-weekly. I don't know if it still holds to the bi-weekly thing, but I will tell you, you learn to budget your money *real* fast on the monthly plan.

I get paid bi-monthly... which means on the 15/16 and 30/31 of the month.
This means I have 13-16 days between paychecks, with no 'semi-annual bonus' as someone mentioned earlier. Plus, the checks are on a withholding program common to the U.S., where the check you receive is for the prior payperiod, not the current one.
it sucks, sometimes.

Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
