OOC: We have a warfleet, because when we made first contact with an alien race (the floaters) we requested their history files.(OOC: better than your original response. However, I'm doubting that all of your species will act exactly alike. Look at the vast variety of responses a human would have. And why would the DE have a warfleet then?)

ITA petition, from Skaven Empire
We respectfully ask permission to build in the Sol system a warp transportation network similar to that in the Skaven home system. Such a network would greatly facilitate long-distance trade, as it is in most cases faster and cheaper than hiring in-system freighters. Because Skryre Warpworks has recently completed its latest major project, now is an excellent time to start work.

"I'd hold off for now, as soon as polls close on the Chancellorship vote, my first official act (assuming it passes) will be the creation of an interstellar mass transit system. A series of jump gates between all ITA member nations that in the long term will reduce transportation costs by up to 70%."

We thank you. Once again, our allies and friends in Durandel's Empire have proved themselves.
We should like to let you know that despite our habit of keeping tabs on all nearby empires, even allies, we have never dispatched a single agent to your world, or ever tried to initiate espionage. We trust those of Durandel's Empire as we trust our own people.

We trust your people as well. But we fear OU agents, they have proven...good at their jobs.
For the first time in our history, one of our own people sold out the plans for our jumpgates to another nation. Luckily, they didnt get the access codes, or a beacon frequency. Nor did they get the information on how to get out of hyperspace.
Needless to say security around such information is becoming tighter as we speak.

[Aleikum-OA Fleet HQ]
The space around Aleikum was a flurry of activity, as OAN vessels manuevured into formation, ready to begin a sweep of the OA's territory, in the unlikely event that the missing Kokand Fleet had chosen the edge of human space as their hiding place.
Joining the fleet, came the Martyr-II Carrier Righteous. The ship looked ungainly and bulky due to the fighter bays that studded its ventral surfaces. The ship was the first of its class, and even looked new, its hull seeming to be a brighter grey than the hulls of the other vessels accompanying it.

The Womb's mass seemed to stretch for miles. It looked larger than it acutally was, as it was surrounded by a web of scaffolds, huge asteroids being processed into building materials on sight were strapped to the Womb's bulk with long ropes of foamed steel. Squadrons of fighters and lancers flew in patrol, and the massive, armored shapes of the Womb's sentinels, the "Basilica" class Monitors, hovered in space all around.
The barely-started keels of ten Dreadnoughts could be seen at one side of the huge yard, in the armored section designed for warship construction. Two Attack Carriers and a dozen Strike Cruisers, ravaged by the Battle of Sol, were under repair, their systems being reinstalled, their modular compenents being removed, checked, and repaired.
At one end of the Womb, five "Republic" Class Dreadnoughts were nearly completed. Three waited only to have their armor installed, and the other two were in the final stages, their stealth-coating being applied. They were a mere two months away from completion. Besides them, a squadron of Strike Cruisers were being completed.
Two Military Clusters stood a little off from the Womb, their repair slips filled with First Fleet vessels. Some were almost ready to be returned to the line.
The bulk of the vessels would be ready for action in less than three months.

-NORINCO shipyards, orbiting New Beijing
Marc Chung, leader of NORINCO, stood at the window of his office. Several hundred meters from his window there were more than eight kilometers of cold steel, with some of the most powerful reactor cores ever built, bristling with weapons.
The 'Spirit of the Revolution' was the third ship of the Red Dawn class to be completed, and the second one currently in service - the Red Dawn's first sister ship had been lost a long time ago.
There was still some work to do, the hull hadn't been painted black yet and some of the computer systems hadn't been set up, but in less than 2 months everything would be finished, after a building time of only 4 years.
Suddenly, the ship seemed to shudder. Then it's bow exploded in a hail of fire and debris, the workers who had been working on the surface of the ship were literally ripped apart by the force of the explosion.
Stunned, Chung stared at the ship. He stumbled over to his desk and reached for the comlink.
-President's office, New Beijing
"Obviously someone knew what he was doing there. The armored bulkheads in the bow section hadn't been installed yet so the bomb did maximum damage. The device itself was very small, probably man-portable, quite powerful for that size."
"Thank you comrade Grand Admiral, but I am well aware of these facts. Do we have any suspects yet?"
"Well, comrade President, there are only one five persons who could have brought the device into the orbital shipyards complex, and then on the ship without being caught by the security. You, me, comrade Chung, and the leading Engineer, Ming. He has already admitted the deed during the interrogation."
"He will pay for his treachery. Let the firing squad take care of him!"

There have been no new attacks against us or our allies for some time and we are getting close to those responsible for the attack on the floater delegation so dissident activity is at a minimum. Still any assistance you could provide is appreciated as it will free our forces up for patrol missions and foster cooperation between the two post-war alliancesBeowulf wrote:From: OU Dept. of State

Hmm. 83 ships*punches in a few keys* 41,500,000,000 credits...242 ships will cost you...121,000,000,000 It is a cnsiderable investment, ut the benifits to your nay will be astronmical. And for no extra charge, we will give you the corporate version of our tractor beams...The unit price for each AG unit is 500,000,000 credits, that is roughly 50,000,000 over the cost of building, and is a very good deal. Nor wll you find anyone with more expertice with gravity than us. I assume this is for the Monacoran Navy? If that is the case, you should have no problem covering the costs.Straha wrote:A Monacoran navy represenitive walked in, looked at the reptile and said quite blandly.Alyrium Denryle wrote:The door opens and the "open" sign flashes for the first time at IMPERIAL GRAVITICS
