SDNET User profile that is screwy
http://bbs.stardestroyer.net/profile.ph ... file&u=001
Where it says u=001 I just realized you could plug in any number and view those who joined sequentially (yeah I know, no big whoop) but then I saw this... Apparently this person has been a board member since 1969!!!!!!!
Im sure theres a positively logistical explanation for this but where's the fun in that?

Well, there's no username, so it's probably some default profile for a user number that doesn't exist (The user, 001, would not exist, as AdmiralKanos's profile would say "viewprofile&u=1", and there are no zeroes before the number).
Or, Wong might be hiding something, and he someohow created ths board before he was born, and when the Internet was stil a concept.

There are a number of profiles like this. Though for the numbers greater than zero, I suspect it's because those were profiles of inactive users that were purged throughout the board's history.Darth Fanboy wrote:http://bbs.stardestroyer.net/profile.ph ... file&u=001

You had to go and ruin the fun with a logical explanation. KilljoyGrandMasterTerwynn wrote:

And I had such a wonderful conspiracy theory in the works on how since this bbs has apparently been around since 1969, and the main site has been around several years before the bbs, it was actually Mikes prenatal spirit that invented Star Wars in the mid-sixties, and Lucas, in a brilliant bit of enrtepreneurship (sp?) aquired it from a three-year old Mike in exchange for a candy cane, betting that Mike would not be in a position to sue until he no longer remembered the incident.

'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Bah, I never said anything about 001! You never know . . . we could just be the start of the Borg Collective here. The bad-ass unstoppable Borg Collective of TNG . . . not the wussy Borg Collective of Voyager.Batman wrote:You had to go and ruin the fun with a logical explanation. KilljoyGrandMasterTerwynn wrote:

I always used to remember someone joining before Kanos came here, that was his spot. Just like I made the Robgea account before I got Straha, had to switch because I deleted the E-Mail sent to me by accident, which is now deleted that was the pre-Admiral account which was deleted. On a side note the entire member list is out of whack now with the list that is supposed to start at 350 starting with user 425.

Well computer programs were written for the 20th century dates. And well, 69 because it's 69. I guess.Singular Quartet wrote:On a more serious note, I'll just state what's really going on:
The board is probably defaulting to what a user profile looks like before it gets written. It says 1969 because that's what everything defaults to: 1969. I forget the reason why though.
