What would the approximate volume of a metric ton of water be? Doesn’t matter if its distilled or seawater.

Water is roughly 1 metric ton per cubic metre. It's really very convenient for such calculations. If you need more precision, I can look up more accurate figures for various temperatures.Sea Skimmer wrote:Asking such things here shall prove quicker then a web search.

For a time, I considered sparing your wretched little planet Cybertron.
But now, you shall witnesss ... its dismemberment!

No, doesn’t matter that much. I merely want the figure for a story I'm writing. Describing a vessel by its dimensions is fairly meaningless, while figuring out how much various sci tech power sources and materials would mass isn't something I'd like to do.
Some I'm using the volume/displacement method, using the weight of how much water a vessel would displace if submerged. I think that’s what Space Empires uses, and I've seen it a few other places. But for it to work one must know the information I asked for.
