Blight vs. Empire
It's not my place in life to make people happy. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to watch me slaughter cows you hold sacred. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to have your basic assumptions challenged. If you want bunnies in light, talk to someone else.
Re: Blight vs. Empire
I think this should have set off warning bells, the Empire is going to get kicked.Enlightenment wrote:(Troll, troll, troll.... )
Hell the Culture gets totally owned by the Blight.
Expansion of the above: The universe is divided into 'Zones', with the type of zone a volume falls under being related to the density of that region. The different types are: The Unthinking Depths, where human level thought is impossible - the center of our galaxy is currently in this zone; The Slowness, where human level thought is possible but higher level AI and Ultratech doesn't work; The Beyond, where AI and middle level Ultratech (like FTL) is possible; and The Transcend, where the most advanced technology possible can be used - this zone falls outside the galaxies. Each zone is further subdivided; Ultratech will work better in the High Beyond than it will in the Low Beyond. The Blight and Countermeasure are both Transcendant. The purpose of Countermeasure is to fight the Blight. It does this by extending the Slowness to encompass the region infected with the Blight, killing any active forms of it.ggs wrote:That wasnt very fair.
The Blight is an info-virus. In Vingeverse the only know solution was the 'Countermeasure' which alter reality on the Galactic Scale to cause 'high' technology to stop working.
The Empire becomes one with the Blight.
