We would like to announce ahead of time what our plan would be in case we cought the pirates. ( )
Firstly we would try them in our court system, then after verdict has been reached we will delay the sentence, temporarily extradite them to the Asgards where they will try them to, and sentence them. After that the criminals would serve the Asgard punishment first, and the Monacoran punishment second. I believe this is fair, and if there are any objections please state them now before we can possibly, that's a lark withour ships, catch them.
Also we would like to attempt to perform an investigation through the ITA to see where these ships are getting their supplies, as they would need to use substantial amounts of them. And if we get answers we could nip this problem in the bud before it gets truly serious.

News of the Krytosian celebration spread rapidly through the clusters. Many tourists would arrive to enjoy the party, and the Floater soldiers based near Krytos holdings would have opportunities to receive a few day's leave.
Bondman Councilor Jeffery Il Jong himself sent a letter to the Krytosian emporer, thanking him for his nation's assistence in these troubled times, and wishing him good luck and long life.

The DE has a simple solution to this problem. Because they have violated interstellar law. and the laws of multiple power we propose this.
When catured, the pirates will go through due process in each and every nation they attacked.
If they are found guilty they will then be subjected to a punishment, based on their convictions, voted on by those whos trde convoys and military ships they destroyed.
Is this acceptable to all parties involved?

In a moral sense, we agree with you. However, the NBA may consider it an act of war which we wish to avoid at all costs. If the NBA agrees to this punishment then we will support it. If not, then the pirates will be turned over to the Asgard in the interests of interstellar peace.Alyrium Denryle wrote:The DE has a simple solution to this problem. The problem with these pirates, is thatthey are violating the laws of multiple nations. and should be subject to the legal systems of all.

The difference is, most states won't go to war with each other if they don't get exclusive rights to try themAlyrium Denryle wrote: (much like how criminals who commit crimes in different states, will be tried seperatly in each state OR in a federal court)

Multiple counts...oh well. hey are commiting the same crime multiple times. The crimes they are commited of would be specific to the nation.
The Asgard would prosecute for mutiny, the Floaters for acts of piracy, the DE for terrorism.... and so on.

We would not be opposed to an interstellar court. Presided over by a council of judges from all our nations. where all charges could be brought up, and tried by one body.

If they are only tried for mutiny however, they may get off scott free. This we will not tolerate.

We must admit we are suspicious of your motives. Why would you want exclusive rights to try them unless something was amiss?

Our people use critical analysis in court just like we do anywhere else. You will have no problems from us.
If you wish you may monitor the floater court proceedings.
It would not be that difficult.

Re: Small FTL drives
Very soon now bidding opens on a design for new fighters and bombers for the UPK Navy. As the premier military research and development corporation in the UPK, we are interested in procuring FTL drive technology that can be fitted to fighters and bombers. The fighters we currently have on the drawing board measure between 8 and 14 metres and the bombers measure 60 metres. Thank you.

Yes but if captured by the Fenari, you run the risk of them being tried under Fenari law. Which for pirates is *Debriefing by external intellegenc*
Given an option under the Exiles/Alien Legion Laws (any non-Fenari to servive 15 years of Civil Service, or 5 years of Combat Duty are granted full pardons under the Fenari treaty with the Exile nations). <You ever wonder why one of the most notrious Pirates of twenty years ago is now the Fenari Minister of Trade?> The Human exiles gave the Fenari the idea of the "Foriegn Legion" down to those white helmets....

The KSN developed a hyperdrive for a non-existant heavy fighter design (the design was scrapped due to time and money constraints) that was 60 meters in lenght, we have four hundred of them sitting in a warehouse.Arthur_Tuxedo wrote:From: Horizons Corporation of the UPK

Our Indominable Class Bombers carry small warp drives...they are 30 meters long. We may be able to meet your needs.

Floater aggression? We were not aware that the nuclear weapons that devestated Ionia and launched from Kokand territory were actually Floater devices. We fear that they will end up being tried in a kangaroo court. Not long ago, floater agression started a crazy war, and we fear they may decide to continue their sad vendetta.
And we still have yet to see the trial of the Kokand leadership materialize. We demand that these war criminals be tried by an international court for their crimes.

Let's not forget the NRE's role, placing spy satelites around Kokand space, and then complaining when they were merely jammed. And yes, floater agression. If it weren't for their xenophobic claims, it's unlikely that the galaxy would have reached the state of tensions that caused the Kokand to place nuclear deterrant devices in their territory.HemlockGrey wrote:Floater aggression? We would like to point out that it is too early for historical revisionism. It was the Kokands who launched a nuclear strike against civilian targets.
