Amen to John Williams, and I'm also rather fond of Jerry Goldsmith.

As to my actual favorites

w/o songs
-Either Raiders of the Lost Ark or the 'Dune' movie

w/songs
-Lost Boys
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Damn it! I was trying to find that track in stores and nobody has it! I would prefer not to head off to CDNow to purchase it, either...

Wow. I played that piece with a youth orchestra! (Suite from the Alexander Nevsky soundtrack by prokoviev) was pretty good music. :D Movie was a bit strange, but the music was awesome!

Raiders of the Lost Ark, easy. The Empire Strikes Back comes close, though.

Simon H.Johansen wrote:"Flash Gordon." Come on, what's not to like about a soundtrack featuring a wedding march played by Queen??
What about the Highlander soundtrack? That's still kickass.

What about Basil Poledouris?? He made the scores for The Hunt For Red October, Conan the Barbarian, Starship Troopers and Robocop.

I liked the score from black hawk down. Particullary the song that was played during the credits. Does any one know the name of that song? I have heard it also on Star Trek. during the episode were a captain of a Nebula AWACS-type attacks a Cardie frieghter and Picard ignores the fact that it was carrying weapons. O'Brien and the NEB. captain sang it at the very end.
