I used some nasa refs, which is why its not perfect because the pics werent perfect.

and yes, im makiing a launch. accompanied by Steppen Wolf's Magic Carpet Ride, as an homage to that silly launch sequence in ST:FC :)

Be sure to take a look at the "Apollo 13" launch sequence... CGI so good, the Academy didn't gave it an award for best special effects.

Fun fun fun! Rockets are easy to do with particle emitters and hypervoxels, you can even get the ice falling from the sides if you wish. The hard bit is getting a convincing launch pad and surroundings, although I think Ivor The Engine has a shuttle launchpad over at www.lwg3d.org for download. Good luck with the model.

I downloaded Ivor's pad and stuff, and its REALLY nice. It fills in the booster surroundings nicely. I'm using it. hehe
