Ah crap I actually wanted to vote "yes", if a mod could please change my vote, that would be really great.BoredShirtless wrote:For the reason why I opened this poll, please refer tohttp://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic. ... 348#526348

If mods could change votes I'd provoke an unheard of caos in this place with two or three well chosen pollsBoredShirtless wrote:Ah crap I actually wanted to vote "yes", if a mod could please change my vote, that would be really great.BoredShirtless wrote:For the reason why I opened this poll, please refer tohttp://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic. ... 348#526348
Here are the exact quotes:
Axis wrote:Bullshit. This board is chock full of rabid leftists – the kind who created a threat wondering whether we should punish people who make up stories about their personal life while on the Internet and 99% of whom believe George Bush to be a warmongering idiot.
Shirtless wrote:99% of people on stardestroyer.net believe Bush is a war mongering idiot? I don't believe you. So I'll open a poll to find out.
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."
No, Axis just said that 99% of the rabid lefties on the board thought Bush was a rabid leftist. Pointless, stupid, flamebait poll.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

And you would be correct, Sir. Leftist = warmonger.Sir Sirius wrote:Durran Korr wrote:No, Axis just said that 99% of the rabid lefties on the board thought Bush was a rabid leftist.
I think that is somekind of a brainfart.

Uh-oh, now you've done it.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

I originally said that 99% of this board sees Bush as a warmonger. That's essentially true. The overwealming majority of active members on SD.com view George Bush in a dark light and have nothing but arguments for his justifications about Iraq. Bored Shirtless seems to think that's a standard situation, but in my experience, my views are really just par for the course on at least four other boards.

lets see, has bush done anything at all that is a good idea? no. Has he started wars without provocation or cause? yes. Is he an idiot? most certainly just listen to any 5 words that have ever left his mouth and you can know this to be true.

An absurd blanket generalization that could not possibly be literally true of anybody.NapoleonGH wrote: lets see, has bush done anything at all that is a good idea? no.

Let's see, we have a campaign to topple a repressive, medieval-style theocracy who supported and sheltered the terrorists responsible for 9/11. And a war against a brutal and bloody-handed tyrant who for 12 years violated one disarmament resolution after another, and who has also sheltered and funded terrorists who have killed American citizens and threatened American interests. No, nooooooooo justification there.
Oh here we go again. This is rapidly becoming the mantra of the left: "Bush is an idiot". It's beginning to replace "tax cuts for the rich" as the battle cry of the left. There is a mass movement of liberals intent on characterizing Bush as an unsophisticated, big-mouthed, Texas hick cowboy - a bull in the china shop of foreign relations, breaking every relationship in the world through his ignorance and arrogance.NapoleonGH wrote:Is he an idiot? most certainly just listen to any 5 words that have ever left his mouth and you can know this to be true.
Apparently, if you aren't a slick talker, you can't be smart. It's a fine case of taking someone's words rather than his deeds as a measure of his capabilities. Well I've got news for you: some people, even some highly intelligent people are not good communicators, and they don't come across to observers as intelligent as they really are. Like it or not, Bush has two degrees from two respected colleges, he was successful in both business and politics, and he has achieved successes as president that have the majority of the American people firmly behind him. You generally can't achieve all that when you're a dumbass.
Bush is not the greatest genius in America today, but he's not the moron you people like to think he is either.
So your alternative is what? Ignore the problem and hope it goes away? Or maybe we should take a page out of Neville Chamberlain's book and try appeasement.Montcalm wrote:You know Perinquus even without Saddam terrorists are still finance and harbored by other arab countries.
"cut one head two more take its place"
That's one of the many things that really irritates me about you and your ilk; you're long on snide criticism and short on practical alternatives.
Well now that Clinton has eviscerated our military, we're no longer able to deal with two or more large scale military commitments simultaneously, which sort of leaves us with the necessity of facing these threats one at a time.
