They could created a tear in the space time continuum of the galaxy invariably destroying the fabric of space time. That would cause time to be fragmented throughout the Empire’s galaxy. For example, in one area time could be frozen in place and in another time could be traveling backwards and so on.

Never mind that this weapon would destroy the Star Trek galaxy just as quickly as it would the SW galaxy (if not more so). And thats assuming they can replicate the experiment considering it was an accident in the first place.

What I REALLY want to know:

WHY do so many idiot Trekkies assume the Empire will just SIT there doing nothing while the Trek powers run around Imperial territory?

Because they start with a conclusion and work backwards from it.

For example:

The Genesis device will destroy Star Wars and its uber-wank technology.

In order to deliver the Genesis device to Coruscant, the UFP will use cloaked ships.

Cloaked ships will fly through the wormhole, evade Imperial patrols and mines, and destroy Coruscant with the Genesis device.

The dead give-away that this is what they're doing (if it isn't obvious already) is the way that they respond when confronted with something. For example, let's say that I was arguing against my hypothetical Trekkie's argument. I point out that the Empire would use Interdictors to stop the cloaked ship. An expected response would start with something to the effect of "Ever considered...." or "But the cloaked ships would be able to....". Positions cooked up like this are usually fairly easy to defeat, since they ignore so much when formatting them. There's no room in there for the Trekkie to consider Imperial responses to their tactics/strategies, even if it would be incredibly easy to stop.

In the 1st Armarda Rommies have the "Talon", the "Shrike", the"Griffin", the "raptor", the "Shadow" the "d'deridex" or "warbird" and the "phoenix" superweapon.
