It looks like some kind of troll propulsion system. The details are very vague.

That is rather hasty. It looks like they are phasing into hyperspace. We have been working on doing that for some time...but have not mastered it.

As for a sane resolution? How about some goddamn defenses on the space lanes? We've had to write more than five thousand letters to families in the past two days! Investigations are all well and good! But we NEED more security on the lanes and gates to survive!

KSE has stepped up security and barred all unknown vessels from our boarders. We have also deployed our entire fleet to patrol our territory Conglomocorp vessels should be safe in KSE spacelanes.

Phasing???? What the hell???? that's far above galactic standard technology. You said the unknown ships appear to use the same form of hyperspace you do (alternate dimension B5 type rather than super fast SW FTL type) does that mean the placing of jumpgates within our territory place the KSE at grater risk??? (OOC: I'm assuming your jumpgate project in our system is done by now.)

Phasing is VERY difficult. by injecting quantum 40 we can open a rift allowing us to enter hyperspace...The largest objects we can phase is are few atoms...It is very energy hungry to do....

The United Floater Republics have done nothing but assist the spread of free trade, but we would remind all ITA members that the ITASF exists to defend ITA convoys.

The Conglomocorp representative can join the ITA, and gain the protection of the ITASF, or it can defend it's own convoys, as most powers do.

They are in no position to criticize our operation.

Now this is an interesting issue. Is the role of the ITASF to protect convoys between ITA members, or is it to protect trade convoys that enter ITASF member nations? It goes without saying that what is bad for one member nation is bad for the rest, and what happens to the third party trade convoys obviously affects the receiving nation. One thing we've never discussed is at which point in the supply chain do goods entering ITA markets become ITA goods.

Simple, the ITASF protects the ships on the half of the trip that is closest to a member nation, and imposes an unpardonable punishment on those that attack the convoy on the other half of the trip.

We need to deploy as many ships as we can to escort convoys. We are building more naval vessels to combat the strain on resources and we are prepared to send our fleet units into international space to escort convoys we suggest you do the same

A quick strike from local ITASF and naval forces would put an end to the threat and our enemies would be revealed.

Why don't we just ship a bunch of EMP mines with all the convoys and when they come under attack, Boom we knock out all this ships untill help can be sent.

An interesting idea. It has much potential. Are you sure your interdictors will prevent ships from phasing in and out of hyperspace???

If the drones work then the KSE would like to place an order for seven hundred of them

I am not sure such interdictors would work. only qantum 40 can cause that breach... and ships are never compelled to follow.

We dont know how one would interdict shps in hyperspace.

We have solved the problem by patroling hyperspace, and using hyperspace probes to detect threats before they arrive.

Because we don't know if the unknown vessels are shielded against EMP???
