Subject: war
We would like to propose the creation of a NBA strike force. (again)
It would consist of navy and army elements from each nation, and would be activated during times of war by vote. It could be controlled by one command center featuring representatives of all member states.

Unity Trade Meeting Notice
All parties interesting with opening trade with the Unity should attend the trade conference on Barracka, 3rd planet in the Falagon system, 1 week from now. Due to recent events, security will be very tight, so we ask that each nation limit its representative party to less than 10 persons. Advance notice is required so our security forces can prepare beforehand appropriately.

The Monacoran Archives have been partially affected too, thus we will NOT re-broadcast anything.

We of the Free Floater Republics would like to propose that the Unity simply apply for membership to the ITA. ITA membership requires that you open yourself to free trade with all ITA members, and provides your shipping lanes with ITASF protection.
Additionally, we would like to thank all the parties who are assisting us with clean-up work in Xanadu. Many lives have been saved by the efforts of Durandel and OA rescue teams.
Additionally, we request reinforcement from the Mensa Dorian Hegemony, in assisting with the defenses in our Mohaim system. The Mohaimese fleet is currently either deployed to defending our shipyards at Kharam, or providing security to the trade lanes aroudn Imperator.
Comet Farming operations in orbit around Imperator have begun. We are currently redering five large to medium comets into CHON basic foodstuffs.

{Asgard Admiralty House}
The young Prince-Heir sat listening and question the Admirals. These were the men that would decide the fate of the Asgard nation should it come to war.
"What's the status of construction?" inquired Xavier Gustav
"Excellent. The Empress Jessica just formally commissioned. She performed better than expected actually. Only a little bit of tweaking. All the new construction should be in commission with in the next couple days with the exception of the Nosferatu. Unfortunately she blew an alpha node on her speed trials. No casualties but she'll be down for a month or more while we pull it."
The young heir frowned a little at the news but kept calm.
"And the next batch?"
"Already begun. We paused the ITA contracts, they'd just tie up yard space we need badly right now. That'll allow us to build the escorts faster. We're going to need to work on bringing our numbers up there. We're too light on them as you know. "
Gustav nodded at the Admiral from BuShips.
"Thankfully we have the resources to push them fast. We should be able to push the new ships through with out much delay. The escorts should be ready in six months at the outside. The capital ships a little over a year. At least at the present build rates."
"Good. We'll want to maintain patrols through neighboring space as much as possible. And Morpheius?"
"Proceeding. We've had a bit of a snafu but we're working past it. It won't affect our quotas yet."

BROADCAST FROM ROME
SENATE MAKES PLANS FOR IMPERATOR RECONSTRUCTION
The Senate annouced today that plans for the reconstruction of Imperator have been finalized. Almost all of the electronic records destroyed in the attack have been restored from backups. The generous aid packages from Rome's allies will be distributed on a basis of most-needed to least-needed according to a criteria drawn up by several leading Senators. Further, the Emperor has levied several new taxes to pay for the reconstruction. Repair teams have already been deployed to the planet.
Plans have also been finalized for improving planetary defenses. The Astralegios II ships under construction in Octavius have been temporarily halted to make room in the budget for the strengthing of Octavius' defenses. Officials are expected to contact the Aktaeon Corporation later this week to negotiate payment and finalize a date for the beginning of stellar construction of numerous, unrevealed defensive installations. At least one of the warhead was captured partially intact. It will be studied, countermeasures will be devised and all future electronics will be impregnated with them.
The Astralegios I has not yet returned from it's undisclosed mission. We have been unable to find out anything of the nature of its assignment.

The Monacoran Empire is angered, the original outlines for the "Ionic Coast Accords" were scrapped, and the floaters seem to have tried to take over the hosting of the discussions while WE are hosting it.
Furthermore we must agree that the "Ionic Coast Accord" is a pretty glum name, if the Ordino Accords is not acceptable, how about the "Allied Compact?"
(OOC: Thirdfain, please don't over play it I came up with this way back when when it was called the European Alliance, and I was the one who brought the idea back up, not you.)

Under ALL circumstances. An enemy who uses WMDs to annihilate civilian populations can expect swift and brutal retribution, but we will not nuke his innocent civilian populations.Concerning Article 3, is it acceptable to retaliate against enemies who use these tactics with similar attacks? Or is it totally banned under all circumstances?
As for names, how about:

Subj: Ordino Accords
This is a final reminder to all the invited nations that the discussions over the Mutual Defense Pact, refered to as the Ordino Accords, are jsut three days away. An Itinerary has been laid out, and food from every culture has been prepared. It is requested that you bring your top military staff as well, because after the signing on the third day we will be discussing tactics, mutual co-operation, and the formation/command of J-comm.
Yes, we would like to continue this discussion, also I would like to point out that in the Formal treaty Article 3 is not going to be included because we not only have two other treaties on the subject, but we would not join any treaty as such because our last resort plans include using Bio and Chem weapons.
Also Article Four would be worded differently, not including training together among other things, nor would the treaty include article two, that's for the ITA not for a Military Alliance.

Alright, so change article 2- how about reduced shipping taxes between alliance membersAlso Article Four would be worded differently, not including training together among other things, nor would the treaty include article two, that's for the ITA not for a Military Alliance.
As for the joint training, I think it is important for our fleets to train together. Floater admirals just don't know how to work alongside Roman admirals effectively, and joint fleet training would be important for a joint task force.
The article does not ask for, say, Monacoran combat training for all our troops.
Most powers, including my own, are not signtories to the anti-WMD treaty. By including this clause in the treaty, it is assured that such destruction will not happen again. Note that you can still use your WMDs to smash an enemy planet's industry and military capabilities, you just can't conduct general bombardment.Yes, we would like to continue this discussion, also I would like to point out that in the Formal treaty Article 3 is not going to be included because we not only have two other treaties on the subject, but we would not join any treaty as such because our last resort plans include using Bio and Chem weapons.
