There, I think that just about exhausts the supply of relevant Vietnam War movie quotes.
I just got finished watching Full Metal Jacket.

Yes it is. When Joker and Rafterman are flying out to Hue, a Chopper gunner is shooting up some Vietnamese folks and says "If the run, they're VC! If they stay...they're well disciplined VC!"

"When they run, that's a VC. When they stand still, that's a well disciplined VC."

EDIT: Aw nuts, someone beat me to it and got it right.

Now we're getting into semantics. Gandalf seemed to indicate that he didn't think the quote at all was in Full metal Jacket. He is in error, I'm afraid.

If it was the wording, then I could be wrong and I apologize.

Vietnam had a DMZ dividing the North and South …but that’s long gone with nothing to replace it. I doubt its Korea, since the boarder is all locked down. Maybe Cyprus has such a thing.

I believe gandalf meant that "I just finished watching Full Metal Jacket" is not a quote. Yet another missed joke. Just like that deliberate misspelling of comercial.

You lucky bastard. Vietnam is on my "places to go before I die" list. Have fun. By the way, from all accounts, Saigon is still the biggest nest of hookers in Asia next to Bangkok, so if you can sneak away from your school group, you can have extra special fun.

Hey, I've read that too. Phred is B.D.'s buddy, right?

Right, Phred captured B.D. and they both found friendship and beer. Phred is also the only V.C. which is familiar with the works of Cole Porter. I found the books in my dad's old comic collection, which contains Doonesbury, Peanuts, and Calvin & Hobbes. I personally have contributed Zits, Dilbert, and Foxtrot.

Thank you Raxmei.

I did indeed mean that "I just finished watching Full Metal Jacket" is not a quote.
