The Partnership For a Freedom-Free America Strikes Again...

Post by HemlockGrey »

...and now they've hijacked baseball.

Does anyone know what Derek Jeter talking about how his parents taught him to perservere has anything do to with drugs?

Honestly, after that 'marijuana = pregnancy' fiasco I thought the commericals couldn't get any lower...

They'll probably go lower. Perhaps they'll be more honest and have commercials ending in "Appeals to Emotion: The Anti-Drug" (Remember that "Lose your parent's trust, and you can kis your social life goodbye" ad?), "Misrepresented Statistics: The Anti-Drug", "Something Completely Irrelevant to the Subject: The Anti-Drug", "What We Shove Down Your Throat: The Anti-Drug", or "Something a Legal Drug Would do to you, But We're Not Talking About Them Anyway: The Anti-Drug".

Media these days seems to be a game of intellectual limbo.

<shrug> That's less objectionable than the "marijuana=terrorism" ads. The subtext is that Derek Jeter is rich and successful because his parents taught him the Right Way to do things, including not to use drugs. This could be deliciously ironic if MLB would ever start testing for steroids. Since Derek Jeter plays for the New York Yankees, I'm inclined to do the exact opposite of what he says just for spite anyway, but I digress.

I saw a commercial that had this girl taking ecstacy then dying. Then on the screen it said "Water cant help you, nothing can." Firstly, water is one of the biggest things saving peoples lives when they take ecstacy, secondly, a mere 60 people a year die from ecstacy, most users never quit, and the brain damage is caused by preventable dopamine poisoning, so ecstacy is possibly the one of safest of all illegal drugs.

Damnit, fuck it, im moving to amsterdam where retards dont run the country.

Parents:My Antidrug.

And not in the way you think, my parents are huge ass stoners, and thats probly why I don't want to smoke. Plus I hate smoke, needles, snorting(odd story about that from 6 grade with ground up candy), and ravers, so about the only way I'd do drugs would be special *insert pastery here*.

The one I really hate is that 1 out of every three intoxicated drivers on the road is high on weed? What? Right outside a Bob Marley concert years ago?
