New Furturama? What the hell?

I just heard during the credits of America's Most Wanted that I shouldn't miss a new episode of Furturama tomarrow.

Is this more getting rid of un aired episode dick teasing?

Or did it's airing on Cartoon Network convice them to make it into a summer series?

The show was preempted so many times a stock of unaired episodes that could fill a full season exists. I'm sure this is just another one of those being showed as filler. Fox didn't like the show because they didn't own the rights, and they wouldn't bring it back full bore after so long

But like you said, Fox doesn't own the rights. Which means Cartoon Network could fund a new season(s) if ratings are good enough.
