Shiny.

What size guns are they on the main turrets? And what size on the smaller side turrets?

Also, I see lots of CIWS mounts, but no missile mounts. Or are those mounts towards the stern, facing the stern missile mounts? Perhaps a few vertical launch cells would be better.

But all in all - SHINY!

Side note, there also seems to be the distinct lack of a 'chopper pad. And also the ability to launch/recover UAVs would be a big advantage for this baby.

Crix, can I lodge a request with you?

Have a read of Dark Dawns (or skim it) and if you ever have time and inclination (pretty pretty please) put together a few quick'n'dirties of the ships etc featured in it according to your interpretations.

When I get some freetime... sure.

Maybe you could search the parts of the text where the ship's are described.

VERY BEAUTIFUL! You rock man! Just a suggestion though: Your phalanx systems seem to be in constricted zones.. they look great over there, but for practicality they won't be much use.

Like Ando said, Shiny!

But, those main turrets are to far forward and too far astern, specially A and Y turret. The whole turret structure extends all the way to the keel, I'm not sure if A and Y can fit in that part of the hull, have you inserted a cylinder to see if it fits?
There is the question of structural bending moments, created by the turrets so far off in the ends of the ship, as well as the torque when the guns fire in broadside. Basically, you would have to strengthen so much these areas, they would become more of a liabillity, both to seakeeping qualities as well as structural integrity.
Also, A turret will be a very wet place to be, water has this uncanny, and annoying, feature of crwaling its way into everyplace aboard ship, anything worse than a clam sea, and that turret will be extremely wet...

2 questions:
What is that feature at the bow?
How many screws it has?

Overall, nice!

Designed as a "stealthy" patrol vessel the
Tupan is shaped like a flattened egg with many nodules covering its
otherwise smooth surface. Its main guns just forward from their
mountings on both the dorsal and ventral spine of the vessel, their
barrels rest at the limits of their deceleration tracks, each has a
very limited fire arc because of this but the many smaller automated
turrets that cover the other arcs makeup for this shortcoming. With a
puff of gasses they fire and fly back along their tracks pushing
against their maglev trolleys, as they reach the end of the track the
main engines fire briefly to counter the remaining inertia.
Thats the one I really would like to see a visualisation of. For more clarification just PM or e-mail me.

The hull is far too narrow fore and aft, it would have shit for strength and both ends would probably snap right off in a minor storm if not the second the first turret is fitted. Its also questionable that guns of that caliber could be self supporting or maintain there ridgeness during firing, you’d probably need an external brace. The limit for an unsupported gun is somthing like 65 cal IIRC, though it can be useful to have a brace with smaller barrels.

Impractical, but very pretty. Although the main battery looks like a set of peashooters.

Nice looking, and damn I hate you for all your skill Crix.

Now let's see what I can suggest.

If you were to fire those big guns on that ship you'd be liable to tear the front and back right off the ship. It needs to be wider if you're gonna have the big guns, that or make the guns smaller.

The main guns are too close to one another and the one in back needs to be moved back some, the same applies to the guns in the back.

I think you've got some good armament though, from what I can tell it has:
2 Missile launchers
6 small side guns
7 anti-fighter guns

What are those two half-globes on the front of the ship, looks like they open up what's inside? And what is that rectangular thing right behind that last small gun on the side of the ship?

All in all it looks awesome as hell though.

Nice. A beautiful ship. Though I must admit that I liked the four tripple turret version first posted more.

Looks very nice, and the bow and stern are more then wide enough to fit in the turrets.

Though from a realism standpoint the turret mountings are far too narrow, they shouldn't be less then 50% of the turrets overall length. What's the red glow at the stern suppose to be?

Two kinda minor problems/questions:

1: Why is the waterline so far down the bow? I would have thought that the projection on the lower side of the bow would be completely submerged.

2: Why is A turret so far forward? It could probably be a few meters back, possibly allowing it to be a triple instead of a dual.
