The only way to settle them is to display both of them as equals...no matter how outmatched one of them is.

The great unsettleables

Well? I can't pick which is more...unsettleable.

Or, can you people figure them out?

I don't know. I figure it's probably King Kong vs. Godzilla. i'd never even considered Goku vs. Superman until now, but given all that Superman has been shown to be capable of, I'd have my money on him.
It is not well for one to trifle in the affairs of the ancient Chinese generals, for they have a tendency to send armies of tens of thousands of warriors after those who challenge them.

Any of these can be settled by getting control of one of the respective franchises and churning out information which states and explains why it is weaker then its opponent, then of course canonize such to the highest level.

Well, I figure I should at least link some things that best describe, or at least give the most accurate accounts for some of them:

Buffy vs. Xena:
Well, so far, the best is "The Eternity Legion", chapter 3
http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?stor ... &chapter=3

[quote] Xena attacked, a living whirlwind of violence.

Buffy retreated from the onslaught, parrying, dodging, blocking punches and kicks. Xena might not be a Slayer, but her reflexes and strength were just as good -- if not better. Buffy had not felt this evenly matched since her battles with Faith.

Well, time to start giving a little bit back, she told herself as she ducked under a high spin kick. She moved in, landed a hard punch in Xena's midsection, followed up with a side-kick to the chin. Xena went with the blow inertia and somersaulted away. Buffy started to follow -- and Xena suddenly reversed her leap and caught her with a scissors-kick right. Two muscular legs clamped around Buffy's neck, and the Slayer was twisted and smashed against the floor. Without the safety force-fields, a normal human -- maybe even a Slayer -- might have suffered a broken neck.

As it was, it hurt quite a bit.

Xena prepared to strike at her prone body. Buffy raised an open hand. "Time out," she said. With a fierce smile, Xena offered her a hand up. Buffy accepted it.

"Got too eager there," Xena said. "You had me worried for a second."

Their current score was 5-3 in Xena's favor, counting this probable broken neck (which Xander would have called, in his worst Mortal Kombat imitation "A Fatality!!"). Buffy had won the first two matches, until Xena had gotten a feel for her fighting style and figured out how to counter it. The warrior woman had been stomping bad guys for a lot longer, after all. [quote]

Godzilla vs. King Kong:
Not even a movie settled this one. Though if you do a blow-by-blow, Godzilla comes out on top.
A good fanfiction that is...well...titled this...and does a fairly good job at the battle (to bad Gigan interferes...) can be found:
http://www.rodansroost.com/rodansroost/ ... ng_1.shtml

Pokemon vs. Digimon:
This fanfic desribes everything accurately, unbaiasedly, and actually makes some points about the entire idea of Vs. debates.
http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=119555

Godzilla vs. Gamera:
See the Daikaiju Dessumachi:

It was a fanvote. fanvotes tend toward the masses. to quote Men in Black
"A Person is smart. People are dumb, violent, panicy animals and you know it."

Here, each voter had to give a legitimate reason for their vote in order for it to be counted.

Final score went to Godzilla.

Yep, I agree fully. Infact, that story is how I first found Wongs site. It's linked int he reviews of the third one.

The middle one is truely the masterwork of the series.
