To be frank, that's a stupid, pathetic rule.NEW RULE: Pre-existing custom-titles are RESTRICTED. I will not countenance some n00b coming here with the name Spetsnaz.

How about "The original Kitsune"? I really like Kitsune as a title/rank. It's quite fitting and has a nice touch of the exotic.
Oh, and Kelly, I would say that you're quite important here. I didn't post here for a month a little while ago and no one noticed. If you went more than a few days w/o posting, we'd be calling the National Guard and organizing search and rescue teams.
Too, go do a search on Google for Drewcifer, I'm just one of many

Re: New Title
I like the one you originally had. Think it was something like, "Official SD.NET Mom" or something to that effect.Kelly Antilles wrote:I believe the time has come for me to get a new title. I'm sure most of you will understand why. So, I'm open for suggestions. Right now, all I can think of is SD.net's Resident Bitch.

Are you up for Vixen?
Same meaning, different language.
You could even modify it as ultravixen, ala Russ Meyer!
And YES Kelly, your feelings matter. You are one of the few members that NO ONE dislikes, everyone who knows you likes! That takes a truly nice personality to achieve.

You know, I'm about to get a lot of heat for this. However, Kitsune is an old friend of mine from years back, and I don't think he should have to choose the name he selected, which was legitimate.
Kitsune is a word with multiple meanings. In the case of the context that Kitsune himself uses, the word refers to a mythical foxlike creature out of Japanese history with nine tails. I believe we all know the meaning of the word when it refers to Kelly.
Furthermore, Kitsune has a fox-kitsunish avatar, while Kelly has a, well, kitsune avatar, if everybody understands what I mean. I don't think any mistakes shall be made, and things will settle down appropriately with people recognizing the two.
Kelly, well, Kitsune really meant absolutely nothing by this, I can assure you of that. He's just using the same name he's always gone by in sci-fi circles, and I don't think any confusion will occur.. He'd probably be rather distressed to find this thread (since I've never found him anything but polite), but I don't think he's be frequenting more than the science and fiction boards so far.
I do, however, understand how that adoption of the name can be construed, and I find it quite regretful that such had to come to pass. Perhaps a suitable arrangement of identification-via-avatar can be agreed upon directly?

I'd like to throw my weight (all 60kg's) behind SDnet Mistress.
It just sounds cool.

Personally, I'd insist that you keep it. That other person be damned.
And you know that I love you very much, Kelly dear. You're one of my best friends, after all. *hugs and kiss*
