AFI Top 100 Heroes/Villains
Anyone else see this?
Final Results
I caught the tail end, enough to see Han Solo at #14 Hero, Darth Vader at #3 Villain and Indiana Jones at #2 Hero. Obi-Wan Kenobi was #37 Hero.
The top spots went to Hannibal Lecter and Atticus Finch.
And yes, Arnie got on there twice as Terminator

May the way of the Hero lead to the Triforce.
Yes, I caught the very end of it. I thought it was really well done. Had some of my favourite characters of all time (Hannibal and Indiana Jones) right up there where they belong. Beautiful.

The list seems about right
Nurse Ratched should have been #2, though

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Am I the only person who think of James Bond as an oversexed, gadgetized Nancy Drew?Ghost Rider wrote:Nice to see Bond way up there.

But I like him more because the type of man persay to look up to and more then likely a bit of my mom rubbing off(She absolutely loves James Bond/Sean Connery version)...though if anyone, I like Indiana Jones as a role model.
Growing up I used him and Han Solo as persay my models of being a man

Well maybe gadgetized but rumor has it that Nancy has been getting plenty of tag-team train action from the Hardy Boys so she's pretty even with Bond on that account.Zaia wrote:Am I the only person who think of James Bond as an oversexed, gadgetized Nancy Drew?Ghost Rider wrote:Nice to see Bond way up there.

You need to get your feet off your head, and your pants to your ears and go help someone who HAS NO FEET! Because if foot-less animals can not walk over here on their little non-footed areas and tell us how hungry they are. I don't think they can.- Brak's Dad

Luke was cool, but he was hardly at the level of badassitude that Han Solo was at.Shinigami wrote: Where the fuck is Luke?!!??!!?!??!!!!!?
However, he was nominated.

In and of itself, that shouldn't matter, as many characters were in books as well first. But then again, yeah, AFI covers just cinema, and as much of a badass as Khan was, he's obviously in a long line of badasses.Kelly Antilles wrote:hm... I was thinking the same for Kahn, but considering he came from the TV show first....
