Who here is a Mick?
Who here has Irish blood going through them?
Personally I'm more then 50% Irish, as the Nugents first came here a little while ago, and the side that came earlier, were apparently Irish criminals or some such sent out on the First Fleet.
(I know I blatantly stole the idea for this thread, don't put a horse head in my bed.)

Heh, if you add us together we're almost the equivalent of a full Irishman.

I have a wee bit of Irish from both sides of my family but I'm more Scottish than anything else. No one in my immediate family looks Irish except for my kid brother, he got the reddish hair, freckles, and all the other things that just scream Irish.

I'm half Scottish/Irish, with a bit of English thrown in just for fun (so that's why I'm not as wild and crazy as my peers were in school...).Kelly Antilles wrote:Aye, I'm a quarter Scot/Irish. I think it's more Irish than Scot though. But I can't do an Irish accent. I can hold a Scottish one, but not Irish. Quite odd. But, I can do a rather wicked accent of the other 2/3rds of my bloodline.
And I can't do any accents at all. Well, unless what I normally speak like is an accent, but I doubt it.

I'm 12.5% Irish. I wish that equated to natural red hair, but it doesn't. *shrugs* Oh well.

Yep, spud suckin sausage fingered Irishman right here.
Many thanks! These darned computers always screw me up. I calculated my first death-toll using a hand-cranked adding machine (we actually calculated the average mortality in each city block individually). Ah, those were the days.

The Cashion and Skaggs are Irish. The McClungs are Scottish. (The Bibbs are Dutch)
So... given that the Skaggs and McClungs were here for 5 generations, and in that time have crossbred more times than I care to think about... I am 3/4 Irish.
(YES, my family tree branches.
Then it does some really nifty celtic knotwork.
)
Oh.. the Cashions came over in 1870... while the Skaggs & McClungs were here in 1790. The Bibbs I'm not sure about, because they're not into Genealogy like the Skaggs and McClungs are.

The rumor is that my mother is Irish. But by golly I won't believe it! I'm an Italiano, through and through. Although I do love potatos, I love pasta more! Don't try to tell me different ya hear? Otherwise I'll have to arrange a meeting between you and the boys behind this warehouse here....

Irish, Scottish, German, English, Dutch and probably a couple other things. Family came over in the 1700s. It's a little something I like to call, definitely not inbred.
