Which investigative Team would be able to catch the UnaBomber the fastest?

All of the teams would only have the information available to the FBI. Basically the bomb leftovers and the postage statments and any other physical elements.

A COMPNOR Team lead By Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin.

A Jedi Team lead by Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi

A Rebel Alliance Team lead by Mon Mothman and Princess Leia

A TOS Security Team headed by Kirk and Spock

A TNG Security Team headed by Picard and Data

A Voyager Security Team headed by Janeway and Tuvok

A DS9 Security Team headed by Sisco and Odo

A Team from the Bounty Hunter's Guild lead by Boba Fett and Dengar

I said Yoda and Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan's mamma didn't raise no fool. I figure they could probably see an upcoming attack through foresight, and then have a bit of a sting operation.

IMHO, given that nobody has any information other than what was available to the FBI (no "look into Starfleet database" crap), I believe that the Jedi Team and the Bounty Hunter's Guild Team would have the best chances, and guidance from the Force should help the Jedi Team to take this.

I'm thinking Yoda and posse, as I seem to recall something in one of the books, might have been Rebellion, where Luke gets a sense of someone who committed a bombing and goes off to hunt him, add to that the Jedi resources such as scanning equipment etc, and I think we're in business.

Although, Darth Vader and co. will also do well, especially with less moral scruples than Team Jedi.

And maybe if you got spock and data together, then there might be some productive results, what with Data's lab, experience and general Sherlock Holmes obsession, and Spock with mind melding, logic and science and all that, but that's not an option.

He wasn't raised by his momma.

The bounty hunters would find them first. That basically is their job and Boba is at the top to the 10 best list.

A Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin Would find him. Both are ruthless and would hunt him down with extreme prejudice. I think they wouldn't even bother looking. They'd just blow up the planet with the deathstar. No more earth no more bomber

Sorry that's not a option as they are on the planet in question. They would get their standerd tools but would not get their planet killinh toys. Great, destroy the entire country just to stop 1 deranged bomber. but good comentary though. Vader has his normal special skills and Tarkin has his lake of scruples. Now simply blowing up his little cabin in the woods once they find it that ok

I know i was just joking around with the death star thing

. I really believe that vader and tarkin would be the best. They would be able to use some serious strong arm tactics that the onther teams would be able/willing to do. And and i said they are both ruthless as hell

A COMPNOR Team lead By Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin. : Good chance here, they have the force aid but half of the Jedi's teams, but they also have the ruthlessness to get the information by any means necessary. And then their Tarkin, he can oral Vader or something.

A Jedi Team lead by Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi :
Another good chance here, two force users, able to read minds, and apparently Obi-Wan seems to have some fundamental invesigation skills.

A Rebel Alliance Team lead by Mon Mothman and Princess Leia:
Alone, not a chance, with some Bothans? Maybe.

A TOS Security Team headed by Kirk and Spock :
Number two for Trek, Kirk willing to do what it takes to a point and Spock could aid in the investigation of the evidence.

A TNG Security Team headed by Picard and Data:
Number 1 for Trek, it was hard to decide between Kirk's willingness to do what it takes and Data's information superiority over Data, I chose Data.

A Voyager Security Team headed by Janeway and Tuvok :
They couldn't find him if he was on Voyager wearing a com badge.

A DS9 Security Team headed by Sisco and Odo:
Close third for Trek, seeing how Odo does have some experience with investigations, but I didn't think Sisco provided enough to make it to the top.

A Team from the Bounty Hunter's Guild lead by Boba Fett and Dengar:Another good chance, this is what these guys do for a living and are some of the best in the Galaxy in doing it, but they lack the force aide that the others contenders do.

My final Decision came down to the Bounty Hunters and Vader's team, and I think I'm gonna need to see some other peoples ideas to decide between them.

I had to go with Fett and Dengar, finding people is their job and both are among the best in the Star Wars galaxy. Yoda and Obi-Wan comes close but they simply aren't investigative enough to figure it out and find the guy before Boba Fett. Concerning Vader and Tarkin, I think they would attract to much attention to their cause, too much strong arm tactics isn't going to get you far in an investigation.

Hmmmm, well that puts them above most of Trek.

But still for Vader vs BHs, Vader having Imp intelgence network, but still, to find Han they needed the Bounty Hunters. I'm still not sure in my mind.

The Jedi team and COMPNOR team would use their Force powers to find the unibomber really quickly.

I give this one to COMPNOR, as Imperials would have no problems with leveling entire city blocks to kill one man.

1st choice: Imperials with Vader (force powers).
2nd choice: Bounty Hunters (Boba Fett and co.) These guys do it for a living across a galaxy. 'Nuff said.
3rd choice: Yoda and Obi Wan. Just not as ruthless as the Imps. But they also have the force.

The idea is that this would be similer to the historical FBI investigation that started out woth only 2 FBI Special agents and then expanded to a team of hundreds of people from the FBI, ATF, and other US agencies as each bomb made them more and more desperate to find and stop this madman

I'd say Vader and Tarkin. They have the Force (and thus telepathy, mental manipulation, foresight) at their disposal, and unlike the Jedi Team they wouldn't have any moral contraints on how they conducted their investigation.

Well Vader's sad devotion to that ancient religion didn't give him clarvoyance enough to find the Rebel's hidden Fortress!
