I propose The Last Samurai by Helen DeWitt. I've read part of this book, and I've heard it's really good.

Hmm...some negative reviews of the book point out that there are pages of text in Greek, Chinese, and Latin...without translations...

Too bad on the no political books...if we're doing nonfiction, Parliament of Whores would be a nice, enjoyable read.

I'm in, but I've already got a list I'm reading through - the BBC's Big Read top 100. Anyone interested in doing that?
I'm also willing to minimod if we want to form a usergroup/private forum, but I don't think it's necessary.

Why not? It's a voluntary thing, and only for the enjoyment of then discussing the book.

What about an addition where we swap books. I hate a book case of books i'd never read again and i'd like some books i haven't read. I can post a list of what i've got going.
