If they want to make people buy their CDs, do like Bal-Sagoth: Overload the lyrics booklets with opulent and frivolous fantasy artwork. That'll make people buy an album even if they've downloaded most of the songs on it.

Yeah, seriously. I once spent a two hour bus ride reading the epic from the Ultima Thule album! In all honesty, they have to make the CD's worth the money, which either means including more or lowering the price.

I'll give props to Verizon for this--they're fighting those bastards as best they can (they also just lowered my DSL rates, so they're on my good side right now). Hopefully SCOTUS will shit all over the DMCA.

Most CDs are shit nowadays, as a general rule. Sometimes there is a good song or two on there, but I don't want the whole fucking CD (unless I need use it as a $15 frisbee, but that's probably not gonna happen). So, you download it! Quick, easy, and if you use one of the less popular programs (or any programs run by German sites, i dunno why), you most likely WILL NOT get caught.

Music companies intentionally only release one or two decent songs per CD, the rest is crap padding since no one with pay 20 dollars for a single song.

If record companies had their way, we would have to pay $50 for each record, and each record would only have about 20 minutes worth of music on it. I say, hooray for piracy! It's keeping prices at a level of mere price-gouging.

Hey, I have an idea! The recording industry can take all the CDs that I would have bought, and shove it up their fucking ass.
