Anyway, going back and re-reading it I notice he asks aout chemical weapons. IIRC the Allies actually had better stocks of them (we werea fter all the ehavier users first time round), and after Hitler's experiences in WWI he wasn't eager to be the first to use them. Equally, using them on your home ground is a fairly drastic move, and I can't see it ever being that serious for the UK, assuming it would ever have been done.
