This does not prove that evolution doesn't occur. It only proves that humans and dinosaurs co-existed at some point.

As Johansen said, it only proves that dinsosaurs (Or perhaps a creature similar to one) coexisted with man, and doesn't necessarilly mean that the Earth was created exactly 6000 years ago by a vengeful God.

Like the fact that they are a perfect outline of the human foot showing that the person would have been placing their foot straight down with perfect weight distribution and then pushing straight back up?

Oh, so all this brilliant evidence just happened to be destroyed the day after they were publically released at a fundie "paleontology" conference. Thats ever so convenient, so that other paleontologists and anthropologists cannot verify, or rather disprove, their findings.

Originally, lime mud similar to wet concrete, washed over dinosaur tracks and filled them. After the dinosaur tracks were filled, a second set of tracks was made, mostly within the infilled dinosaur tracks. It all hardened into rock which has now been exposed by erosion. The material which filled the dinosaur tracks was more resistant. This differential erosion explains the slightly raised dinosaur tracks.

So they're admitting that the human tracks at that site were made at a later time? Concession accepted.

This assumption has been disproved by cross-sectioning. Carving would randomly cut across the internal rock structures. However, if those structures follow the contours of the impression, the carving theory would be falsified. Internal structures dramatically conform to the shape of both the heel impression and the great toe impression, demonstrating that this is an original impression in limestone well known for dinosaur prints.

It proves nothing especially as the exact location of the find is neither mapped nor documented. The fact that it has been removed from the site is also somewhat suspect. Add to this that the "cross-section" experiment means nothing if one cannot place it context with the surrounding rock structures. A whole bunch of appeals to authority with no real content.

In 1987 Jerry MacDonald discovered a wide variety of beautifully preserved fossil footprints in the Robledos Mountains of New Mexico. Rumors were heard about "out of place" fossils but the site remained top secret. Finally a tantalizing article appeared in the Smithonian Magazine, July, 1992. The article acknowledged "what paleontologists like to call, ‘problematica.’" It described what appeared to be large mammal and bird tracks that, "evolved long after the Permian period, yet these tracks are clearly Permian." With a little detective work and some luck we located the area and even more obvious "problematica."

Gee, wow. Its not the first time that we've had abberations within the fossil record. Lets add to the fact that again, we have an undisclosed location and an out of context quote in "appeal to authority" form. The footprints are nice, no doubt of that, but please, don't make fun of our intellects. We know enough about geology to know that we can find modern landfill in Permian rock. Its called landslip and erosion.

This cat track (9 inches across) was found in the same layer with the Burdick track, Middle Cretaceous, supposedly 110 million years old. Evolutionists, like Richard Dawkins, have acknowledged that finding a large mammal with the dinosaurs is just as devastating to evolutionary theory as finding humans.

Found in the same layer. Though layer sounds technical in geological terms it tells us nothing. Case closed.

Creationists on the other hand, test their hypotheses. We cross-sectioned the track with a view to looking for the possibility of subsurface structures. If the structures within the rock were randomly truncated by the foot-shaped depression, carving would be indicated. If however, the structures conformed to the depression, then there would be clear indication that the track was not carved, but genuine.

Again we have the "cross-section" appeal to authority. So it wasn't carved, it doesn't prove that it came from the same era though.

You know, that section is very fascinating and all, but it has nothing at all to do with their argument and would appear to be countering it in places.

Holy shit! Ripples in sedimentary rock! They must have formed like that! It couldn't possibly be erosion, especially seeing as this particular fossil site used to be a creek bed!

I could go on and on and on with this, but the stupidity is hurting my spleen.

Is it possible that if there are human bones with dinosaurs, that cavemen buried 'em there? I mean you see a 30 foot long skeleton of a gigantic reptile you're gonna be in quite a bit of awe. Maybe they wanted their dead to rest with the dragons?

The only problem is that there's a huge time difference (over 60 million years) between the extinction and the existence of humans.

What dinosaur bones there were would probably have been covered by sediment or tar. And I really doubt cavemen can dig that well.

Palaeontologists would be able to tell that quite easily (of course, fundies would ignore them). You just can't dig into that kind of strata without making it painfully obvious you've done so.

Ah, now don't fall for that one. Yes, maybe there's a dragon meme that spread with humanity, or maybe lots fo cultures merely had a giant reptilian creature that just waqs assumed to be a dragon later on.

I mean 1) big and 2) reptilian are not hard criteria for a fictional beast to fulfill, right? and some of the 'dragons really exist' crowd have merely nicked elements from every mythological cretaure, regardless to support their hypotheses.
