Neutrons in neutronium wouldnot, and pure neutronium would be transparent. An occasion photon would be scattered thru direct collision, but the a major potion of photons would past thru.

Neutronium in an Neutron star is mixature of degenerate matter, a few stray protons, and electron mived in a Sea of neutrons, so charge particles would interact with the photons.

Same must be true of the material of the sun crusher..
