Yes, those are two Ewoks.

I thought it was fairly well known that quite a few of them survived the Endor Holocaust and joined the New Republic...

That must have put a big damper in Endor's budding tourism industry. It does make sence though.

You think the Ewoks would have been so egar to help the "pitiful band" of rebels had they known that pretty much most of their species would have been destroyed?
Can you imagine the coversation that 3PO would have translated?
Han: Yea, tell those little furry things that we need their help to blow up that big sattilite dish over there.
3PO: He asks "why"?
Han: Cos we wanna blow up that other big thing in the sky *mumbles* and nealry wipe them all out...
3PO: He wants to know what that last bit was.
Han: What last bit......?

Poor little Ewoks.....

They were better than the Gunguns hence they are held in high regard, plus I was a little kid when the Ewok movies were around, so I have to give them a bit of a soft spot.

Hey, those movies weren't that bad, and the series had quite a few good episodes...

Thank you Spanky for that slight bit of support, although I'm not sure if I sense sarcasm or not... :?

No, seriously, I really liked that show. I have several of the episodes on tape, and there are a few that I still like today.

And YT: Don't act like such a damn poser.

Heh, I actually kind of like Jar Jar, too. And I really wasn't bothered by him in TPM...

I don't like him, he managed to get to me, the buffonary was probably ment to amuse little kids.
I always wondered why couldn't Qui Gon stumbled into something smarter.....like a tree.

True, but would you have 50 Wickets. You can't understand what they are even saying. At least Jar Jar has broken English. I do like Ewoks as a warrior race. They are, after all, mini- Wookies, but GL should have not tried to make them so cuddly (in a sick care-bear sort of way [I hate those damn buggers.])

Maybe it was a joke contradiction that was lost on nearly everyone, something that looks sweet and cuddly and cute.....yet will catch you in a trap that only a wookie would fall for and then try and cook you.

It's irony. The dichotomy between the looks and the actions of the Ewoks.

Well, they were going to eat the heroes..

Wasn't it made official somewhere that there was no Endor holocaust? It happened exactly like Saxton had as alternative theory too..

Even more vicious than that. I mean they scared the pants off of a storm trooper on Endor.
