Valorum, Palpatine, and Sidious

Post by Axis Kast »

So they look a lot alike.

Palpatine is Sidious, no?

And what about Valorum? He looked so much like Palpatine that until Ep II, I was utterly fooled.

Can anybody set it straight?

Uh weren't Valorum and Palpatine in scenes together? It's a bit hard for them to be the same person.

:wtf:

Valorum is NOT Palpatine.

Darth Sidious is Palpatine, but Valorum is a different man entirely.

Yes, my thoughts exactly...

If Palpatine wasn't clearly manipulating people himself, then one could argue that Palpatine and Sidious are seperate personalities in the same body, meaning Palpatine and Sidious are schitzo, but they are both clearly the same person/entity.

Palpatine and Valorum looked NOTHING like each other.

The only similarities were that they were both old white men.

I think Axis either needs glasses or he needs to actually fucking pay attention while watching the films...

Seriously, I'm finding it really hard not to simply laugh out loud at this.

Did you watch the movies Kast or did you just hear about them? I'm not being funny but really you don't sound like you watched the movies. In TPM Palpy is there WITH Valorum when they meet Padame after her escape from Naboo.

Valorum was the Jimmy Carter of the Old Republic. A nice guy everyone would want as a neighbor but was completely incompetent as President or Chancellor.
That is the sound of inevitability.

Really? Huh.

Axis, are you sure you were paying attention during the movie? Or did you watch a really bad fansub?

Uhh...

I never thought that a person who is a member on an SW forum will ask these questions...

At least you'll make GL happy, probably you're the one that he counts on when he said: "There will be a big surprise in Ep III...". :P

If you have time for it, read the Prologue of the ANH novel.
It will clear up everything for you.

Nope. It's copyrighted.

BTW, I think it's available in most libraries.
