Cut Scenes?

I've heard several rumors about special scenes being "cut" from all the Star Wars movies. I'll list them in order:

1. Jabba vs. Solo (original encounter at the Mos Eisely Spaceport)

Added in for SW:ANH Special Edition.

2. Stormstrooper Scare (left out of Battle for Hoth)

Supposedly, a squadron of stromtroopers was to blunder its way into an ice cave inhabited by wampas.

3. Scout Walker Slip-Up (left out of Battle for Endor)

Another rumor about Han attempting to open the bunker blast doors by running a cable from Chewie's captured AT-ST Walker. The Walker was supposed to have collapsed under the strain.

4. Waterfall Tight-Rope Walk (added in for SW:TPM Special Edition)

Obi-Wan and Master Qwi-Gon Jin cross a Naboo waterfall.

5. Spacebattle Extraordinaire (left out of SW:AoTC)

The spacebattle above Geonosis between Seperatist vessels and incoming Republic cruisers.

Regarding the wampa cave:

Originally, Luke and co. were supposed to trap a group of wampas in a room in Echo Base. The door was to be marked with a warning label, but Threepio was to remove the label, and a group of snowtroopers were to charge into the room to (presumably) be attacked by the wampas. Even though a shot of Anthony Daniels as Threepio removing the sticker was in one of the trailers for the film, it was cut from the theatrical release (thank God).

2. Stormstrooper Scare (left out of Battle for Hoth)

Supposedly, a squadron of stromtroopers was to blunder its way into an ice cave inhabited by wampas.

As Ossus said, it was cut. Presumably because they couldn't get a Wampa suit to look good. (which is why you never saw much of the Wampa that attacked Luke in the original ESB).

3. Scout Walker Slip-Up (left out of Battle for Endor)

Another rumor about Han attempting to open the bunker blast doors by running a cable from Chewie's captured AT-ST Walker. The Walker was supposed to have collapsed under the strain.

Never heard that one before...


5. Spacebattle Extraordinaire (left out of SW:AoTC)

The spacebattle above Geonosis between Seperatist vessels and incoming Republic cruisers.

That would have been cool...

Of course, if we're listing cut scenes, we can't leave out THE quntessential cut scene, the meeting of Luke Skywalker and Biggs Darklighter at Toshi Station. This scene was fully filmed and edited, but was cut because the it interrupted the flow of the movie, or somesuch. It has only been publically screened once or twice.

Sounds very silly considering he had shaped nuke charges with him.

Looked like CGI to me.

Jabba was CGI. There was a guy there when it was originally filmed.

I can tell you for a start that the AT-ST slip in Endor never happened. That walker was there when the Imperial troops come of of the bunker into the ambush Solo planned, i think.
