They did. I got my name mentioned at the tail end though. Y'know, when everyone was cheering and nobody heard it (especially since I walked towards the beginning).

Funny story about that. Same thing almost happened to a kid at my school. Except while he got his name in, it was my picture it was attached to. Best thing of it was, I still had my name and picture in there correctly! :D

Coolness. Your graduation will be fine. 1 hour of mind-numbing boredom, followed by cheering and photo ops. (At least that's how my brother's went on Thursday)

Although I've yet to graduate, Summer started for me last Friday, after a 3-hour school day that was good for little more than a few pictures. And since I'm moving to a place in New Jersey where the school year starts later in the year, I'll be getting an extended Summer vacation. The only bad part is that it's probably going to be all mired up in the moving process.

^_^

yep, it was fine. I got my diploma, the speeches were short and interesting, and I managed time to give a rose to iris_vanquished just cuz she's cute.

some people *did* get blank diplomas though, and others have diplomas with typos.

after that, I went to dinner on the spinnaker, a turning floor of a 15 story building, where I had codfish. good stuff. then I went to the all night grad party. they handed out those circular glowsticks, and as sauren brought a collar, I made a chain of them and was walking around with him on a leash. much fun. I also placed myself in a bowling ball frame, and got a strike against human sized pins. I also went into a boxing/pillow fight, and won twice. go me. there was dancing, as well. good thing - watching girls grind. downside - not being involved myself. I also watched a hypnotist suggest to 20 people in my class. Iwas astonished, and Ive decided I want to know how to do that.

I had a few more fancy dinners and appointments, slept most of the evening, and am now awake 8)

:? It would make more sense to have the chorus do that, wouldn't it? That's what we do...in fact when I'm at my own graduation, I'll have to leave my seat, go sing for one last time, and then return to my seat.

Ah... About the closest thing I have to that is looking at my little Academy of Engineering diploma thing (seperate from the school one). It basically had a listing of what I'm supposed to be versed in now (like MS Word Apps...we NEVER did that in Engineering, not ONCE). Basically, it was a very simple checklist on the back, with the teacher's initials next to it, like so:

__ Engineering Principles
__ Engineering Mechanics (Statics and Dynamics)
__ MS Word and Excel Apps

That's not the exact wording, but you get the idea. At any rate, I looked at that, and I was like, "Four years for THIS? All that pain in Statics (which got MUCH easier when I bothered to listen to the teacher *grin*) for something I could make in ten seconds?!"

I felt extremely ripped off over that, and stewed all the way home.

Then, when I got there, I turned the thing over...

To a very nice looking diploma. :P
