Best Thing To Come From France

Post by Admiral Valdemar »

Yes, there was one thing.

PULSAR (the Lancaster uni sci-fi club) showed a host of kids favourite programmes tonight for a change.

One of them was Inspector Gadget. :D But as much as I liked the series, I hear Diznee has made a straight to vid sequel of the original film with Matthew Broderick (which was okay but the car sucked). }p

Other than that, we also watched Defenders Of The Earth, Trapdoor, Dogtanian And The Muskerhounds, the first X-Men episode and Dungeons & Dragons as well as the first and cheesiest episode of Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors. :P

Ah, memories.

French food is deserving of it's reputation.

French wine is good, in my limited experience with it. American and Australian wines are like chewing on oak splinters in comparison, flavor wise.

French warships of 19th century were novel, and exciting designs.

I have never really found French food anything special. I don't drink wine.

However I agree that 19th century French predreadnaughts were good for a laugh :)

French wines are goooooooood.
As is French food. Especially the myriads of cheese sorts. Paired with one of the myriads of german bread sorts, the perfect team

My dad says the only good French wine they keep for themselves, they're not stupid. :P That and Oz and Chilean wines are the best.

French cheese isn't too bad.

I would have to say the best thing to come from France would be mid-twentieth to late-twentieth centry military tactics. I mean, the Maginot line, look at it, it is brilliant! Have a length of simple fortifications running along a short border with a single country to hopefully keep them from invading, how BRILLIANT! I mean, it is a good thing (for the Germans, anyways...)

She's hot, for sure, but that is the most faked looking picture I've seen in a while. Maybe because of the lighting.
