Ah...Egypt, bastion of freedom and social peace. The gall of these fuckers to call it too violent. Dudes, maybe if you stopped churning out zealots willing to blowe themselves up over a fucking religion you can talk to me about something being too violent.
Wherever you go, there you are.

Frankly, no big loss in this case. But the principle of that action is still galling.

Their Loss.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

This is not surprising.

I wonder if people are watching a bootleg in Somalia?

The article basically says that Egyptians can't handle the movie. If they watch it they'll riot or something: "Ahhhheeeee!!! Does free will exist?!!?! We must find the creator!!!!!!!! Ahheeeee!!!......"

Jeez. It's just a movie. If that sort of thing can work up so many people, especially just a sci-fi movie...

I guess the only free city in the Matrix being called Zion didn't help...

I'd rather not. I was merely commenting on how they banned a silly movie.

Y'know what? That will just make it more popular...

Now if they'd banned it for that retarded human battery concept... that would be worthwhile.

Too bad for my friend. He's in Egypt right now. Or perhaps it's a good thing for my friend - I haven't seen the movie so I don't know if it's good or not...

Tell him to support the ban. Doing otherwise encourages massive stupidity.

You want him to support censorship because of religious reasons?

Stupid movie or not, that's still a bad reason to support censorship.
