BBC World correspondants are reporting that the Israeli Military has just been given orders to:

"Eliminate Hamas"

"Using any means available."

Sounds like Bush's "Roadmap" just got burnt.

Uhh, didn't Hamas say only a few days or weeks ago that they had no intention of following the roadmap anyway? I'm not seeing why Israel should leave Hamas alone when they blatantly have no intention of leaving Israel alone.

The issue is whether or not Israel is going to differentiate between Hamas and the rest of the Palistinian population.

you know what, thery are never going to get along. the world has been desperately trying to keep a false peace for 60 years now, but guess what, it just isn't happening. Fuck..... Peres was willing to give up 90% of the West Bank, Arafat trusted Clinton, they almost had a peace treaty, but as usual "God" (allah in this case) got pissed and told somebody to kill) No, the way i see it, If the Palistinians were to lay down their arms, there would be no more conflict. If the Israeli's layed down their arms, there would be no more Israelis.

The solution is simple. Take all the Israelis, put them on boats, send them to wherever they want to go--I'd got to Rio myself, but wherever they want is fine. Do the same with the Palestinians. Then build a 30 foot high reinforced concrete wall around the whole area, with machine gun nests manned by fundamentalist Hindus who don't like Jews or Muslims, with minefields protecting the approaches. The sea approaches will be protected by extensive naval minefields and submarine patrols. Nobody is allowed back in for the next 100 years.

Hey, "If you two can't share, I'll take it away and nobody can have it" has worked for countless sibling rivalries in the past. It certainly can't be any worse than anything else that's been tried in that shithole.
