I still like my solution.
Take all the money and equipment we give to Israel annually and give it to Palestine. Then let the Israelis turn into the unreasonable terrorists when they have no massive support coming out from the West. Then, five years later, take the equipment back from the Palestinians and give it to the Israelis again for another five years and let the Palestinians go back to being unreasonable terrorists. Continue this cycle until one side wins. At least this way it will be a more even match that can expose both sides for what they are: unreasonable fundamentalists.

The fastest solution and the only one likely to work is for one side to obliterate the other. Attempts to restrain either side simply slow that down and prolong the conflict.

I believe this all can be resolved with a brutal desisive COMPLETE victory.
Incomplete conflicts always lead to prolonged low level hostilities.
Violence does solve many problems, but only if you use enough of it.
Had the arabs detroyed Isreal, this would not be happening.
Had Isreal destroyed the "Palestinians", this wouldn't be happening either.

The only chances Isreal has, are:
Surrender, and death.(Not fucking likely)
Complete subjegation of the "occupied" territories. 100%TOTAL controle of ALL aspsects of government.(Not enough manpower, needs complete military victory FIRST)
Explulsion, ethnic cleansing, whatever you want to call it. (Not poltiticaly feasable?)
Extermination.(See above?)
Complete subgegation, with search and destroy of all weapons caches, and death squad/imprisonment of all Hammasholes, IJihads, Hezbulshits.
Status quo. (NEVER worked in history, political suicide for proponents)

The truly sad part about all this is you can trace this back to Arafat. He had everything he wanted with Barak, but he still didn't budge. IDIOT. Putting him down might not be a bad idea, although you need some neutral party to do it. How about some suicide bombers from Thailand (nice and fairly neutral... ha ha ha ha).

As for Hamas, Shep, you don't need them to get together in some secret meeting, just drop submunitions on the next Hamas rally. Everyone knows that the only reason the Israelis have restrained themselves is because the government is a democracy, and it will likely not sanction anything that bloody.

The Israelis are probably more likely to negotiate, because unlike the Palestinians, most of the Israelis realize that they have more to lose. There seems to be a belief in the Palestinian population that Israel has to go, and there can't be peace until the state of Israel is wiped out. It's sad, but as I said before, until the parties involved (more the Palestinians from my point of view than the Israelis) realize that negotiations is preferable to the current state of low intensity warfare, this will keep going on. The only way, people will realize that peace is better than war, is if the war takes a real toll. A majority of Europeans finally got that message during the last century. May be, the middle east needs to get the same message.

Well, I must say, it is a reasonable solution. Fuck, it isnt as if we havent done similar things in the Mid East.

The issue is whether or not Israel is going to differentiate between Hamas and the rest of the Palistinian population.

I would hazard a guess...No.
