I didn't think you'd consider provoking a well-armed nuclear nation into deploying that arsenal as being a reasonable solution. This whole conflict can be need in a mater of minutes, and many people hear seem eager to remove the only thing that gives Israel reason for restraint.

I would withdraw unconditional support fromIsreal if I had my way, but I would give that support to either side.

Actually much of Israel is no longer a wasteland, because the Israelis built a modern economy and developed it. Currently they have a huge tree planting campaign that’s converting vast areas of desert.

Yes, but it's the size of New Jersey, and lacks the natural resources of other Middle Eastern areas. It's like two kids fighting over who gets to eat the last bread crumb.

As for the moratorium, I say thrreads relating to the Middle East conflict are fine until they turn into the long-winded flamefests we've seen in the threads that inspired the moratorium.

And here in lies the problem - is the Hamas member the preaching cleric? The man who listens? Is it the man who takes up arms to defend his family from the perceived threat?
