what is your IQ?

Post by Col. Crackpot »

take the test!

http://www.emode.com/tests/uiq/

Congratulations, Chris!
Your IQ score is 129

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Emode's Ultimate IQ test.

The even better news is that at Emode, we've taken your IQ test one step further. During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. We were able to analyze how you did on each set of those questions, which allows us to shed light on the way your brain uniquely functions.

At the same time, we compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is an Insightful Linguist.

The first thing we can tell you about that is you have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind. But that's just scratching the surface.

Find out more about how your brain processes information and where your intellectual strengths lie in your personalized, 15-page IQ Report. It's ready right now!

Unless it's timed, it means jack.

IQ tests mean jack anyway, but that's besides the point.

The first thing we can tell you about that is you're equally good at mathematical and verbal skills and have a thirst for learning through experience. But that's just scratching the surface.
Now, is that good or bad?

And is there a way to find out which questions I got wrong, and why? I had to flat-out guess on one or two of those...
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

just FYI, 120 approximatly is outside 1 standard deviation from the mean IQ. 1 standard deviation taken to both ends of the mean covers about 66% of the population sample. this test however is somewhat suspect and i would say skews the results somewhat. take it for what it is worth, i have taken them before (online) and have ranged from 119-124....so this survey does seem a bit off. it's fun though.

I got 133.

What did you put for every ____ rose has a thorn? I put weathered because it wouldn't be a cultivated thorn-less rose.

EDIT: Forgot this blurb, which sounds accurate:

Our analyses indicate that your Intellectual Type is: Visual Mathematician. This means that among other things, you have superior skills in mathematics and spatial reasoning.

Well, I guess that's where my linguist skills come in handy :? I think the phrase is meant to be poetic, so I chose Tempting, the only "good" adjective.

OK I see that now, I guess that's what they're going for. Problem is, I react: A rose doesn't have to have thorns (thornless rose) and these thornless roses can be "good". So tempting roses can be thornless. I tend not to think poetically.

Your IQ score is 142

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Emode's Ultimate IQ test.

The even better news is that at Emode, we've taken your IQ test one step further. During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. We were able to analyze how you did on each set of those questions, which allows us to shed light on the way your brain uniquely functions.

At the same time, we compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Visionary Philosopher.

The first thing we can tell you about that is you're equally good at mathematical and verbal tasks, and learn best through experience. But that's just scratching the surface.

The test is rather limited. That score there is the highest it can give you.

IQ test wrote: True knowledge exists in knowing that you know ___________.
The answer is "nothing". I kind of knew that (its sounded like cliche, meaningless "fluff") but I didn't let myself chose that because "knowing that you know nothing" is an oxymoron, regardless of how poetic it sounds.

You're worse than I am. Give your poetic side a little more room to breath. :P

I got 124 and got typed "word warrior", apparently I'm equiped with a "verbal arsenal that enables you to understand complex issues and communicate on a particularly high level".

That test annoyed the hell out of me when I did it. I spent about half an hour hammering away at it after I got that 142 wondering what the hell was wrong with me (Since IRL I'd been getting 170+), before I realised that I'd been right all along and that the test itself had that upper limit. Couldn't believe I'd so easily missed the obvious.

I don't get it, Kelly. My Simpsons lore is not very good :P

Well, I have to be completely fair to the IQ test. I've always loved writting and I was the best student at my school in the Portuguese classes (and it was the only thing I didn't study).

My girlfriends have to tolerate my romantic poetry, not that I thing it's any good.
