Got this from one of my dad's e-mails. These thoughts are from a Christian perspective:

Next time a child asks the doctors to give him new arms, we'll just say: no, because we love you.

Temporary or not, not helping someone physically handicaped (the more the worse) is not a proof of love.

I think the author was referring to a child who cannot be made whole by modern medical science.

What if said child could be made whole by modern science, but lacked money? Wouldn't "God's" answer be the same?

you know I think Garth Ennis got God right when he wrote "Preacher" God is essentially an attention mooch he craves it ts like crack to him thus he forces people to live a shitty halfassed existance just so they will turn to him thusly what we should do to him is what was done at the end of "Preacher" put a bullet in his head.
