Zalconians?

Post by Natorgator »

I don't know the name of the episode, but it was on TNN last night...the one where they find the crashed shuttle and there is only one survivor; he recovers and has all sorts of powers and whatnot. He brings Worf back to life after he falls and breaks his neck.

Anyhow, when the Zalconians come to take their prisoner back, Worf says that their tactical abilities are on par with the E-D's and Geordi says that they are just as fast/maneuverable. If their tech level is comparable with that of the Federation, how come they aren't somewhat of a larger power in the AQ? Have they ever been mentioned in DS9 or Voyager?

The episode was "Transfigurations".

As I recall, this episode actually spanned weeks of time (or more), with the Enterprise following the map found in "John's" crashed shuttle. When they finally encountered the Zalkonian ship, it was coming toward them at high warp, following John's trail. Zalkonian territory is evidently a long way from Federation territory (at least from any of the populated areas).

The Zalkonians have also been dealing with major domestic issues for some time, as well, so they probably haven't been getting out much. John returning and helping others of his race undergo their transfiguration probably isn't making things any more stable there, either.
