I suspected as much.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Mind you, this bloke hasnt cornered the market in protection spells, after years of research, we have decided that the traffic cone we gave to my mate is in fact, keeping the tigers out of his garage.

*sigh* well, you've done it now, Nessie's never going to sign up now. Although she wasnt too big on the 10 dollar sign up fee, I keep telling her she shouldnt use hotmail, but apparently, there's a lot of monster bias in a lot of service providers these days...

Well, there was that unexplained large biological signature on the sonar sweep they did when they went a-monster-hunting in the early 90's (I think - theres a poster about it on the second floor of the ES building, if you're interested, Adm. Valdemar) but the chances of some prehistoric beast turning up are slim to none.
I don't honestly care, I just like it as a piece of folklore, even if it is there, I dont want to know for sure, the mystery is far more entertaining.

The only photograph of Nessie being a fake, adds much to the credibility.
Geologicaly, Loch Ness was never connected to the sea during periods with monster like critters.
Sonar scans have only found schools of fish, which LOOKED like a single object on older less sophisticated sonars.
Nice legend though.
It would be realy cool if the coelacanth scenareo was the truth.
I want to know where that plateau with the dinosaurs are still living is!
I have SEEN footage! Clearly there are surviving examples of:
Crocasaurus, Iguanadon, Rubbersaurus, Claysaurus, Latexadon ect...
Surviving examples from the Cheesamovic period.

What, that famous black and white one? I know there are a few obvious fakes, but I thought there were a couple which couldnt be explained?
I love those sort of stories though, I love the myth of the Characharodon Megladon, did a presentation on ocean myth, the kraken, scylla and charybdis and all that, and did the Characharodon Megalodon as a final ghostly finish, whilst neglecting to mention that a big fuck off shark (30ft long), wouldnt be hanging round on the deep ocean, it would be in the shallow waters.
It was great, I extrapolated the size of the jaws from a standard great white shark tooth and generally attempted to leave that sort 'oh my god' feeling. Finishing with the rumours from the Polynesian fisherman about a ghostly white 30ft shark somewhere in the Pacific...
I'm a myth person really, greek myth, norse myth, its all interesting from where it comes from and what it details.

Well, you can get a deep fried mars bar in Scotland, maybe we're just seeing the natural progression of the batterering trend... when faced with the chip shop industry, I think Nessie needs all the help she can get...

Why they've never dropped a few mini-subs and settled this thing once and for all is beyond me.
Hell, just drain the damn loch!

The whole length of the Loch has been searched with high-resolution sonar's several times, one on case using something like twenty different boats at once. They haven't found anything biggest then a stray fish. The lack of fish for such a creature to eat is of course one major problem with it existing. Using a mini sub would be pointless, the water is too murky.HemlockGrey wrote:Why they've never dropped a few mini-subs and settled this thing once and for all is beyond me.

The thing is a bit deep for draining.
